White: "If Cain can get past this guy, he's probably ready for the title shot"

Watching the UFC hype show this evening, White said that if Cain got past Rothwell, he'd probably be ready for a title shot.

So, if Rothwell wins, how many fights would he still have to win to be considered for a title shot?

One of the reasons DW catches so much shit is because he says stuff like this and then goes back on it.

Doubtful he goes back on this. They need more contenders to feed to the beast.

I predict Rothwell will end up like Sokoudju fighting in Japan and Cain will definately get a title shot next year.

Who is possibly ahead of him right now? Big Nog isn't, Mir and Kongo aren't. After Lesnar/Carwin happens, Cain is up. I think he DEFINITELY gets it next year.

Cain would have a shot against Carwin, but he will probably end up facing Lesnar who he will not be out wrestling.

His UFC record is now more impressive then Carwins. Carwin got the title shot over Cain. Cain should def get the shot.
