people who is saying that shogun won probably reflected that machida got hit as many times as he could probably ever been hit his entire life. sure shogun may have won round 5 ... round 4 is kinda a toss up.

rounds 1 and 2 clearly machida.. shogun may have landed some kicks but machida landed kicks too and punches...

mike goldberg is kinda retard thinking that shogun won the first two rounds...

but come rematch people will see that machida will prove that he clearly earn the decision fare and square.

try to watch the fight again without the bias comment of mike goldberg ... at first i thought shogun won too.. when i watch the replay i was wrong...

My fave fighters:

HW: Couture
LHW: Jones, Lidell
MW: The Spider
WW: Jon Fitch Matt Hughes Carlos Condit
LW: Anthony Pettis
Bantamweight: Dominick Cruz

That is the big thing for me, this fight was WAY more exciting than I thought it would be. If you told me Lyoto would have an exciting decision I would have laughed till I solied myself. It was a solid fight, and it was clearly a #1 vs #2 that was competitive, unlike the other divisions where #1 laughs as he destroys #2-XXXX.

For what its worth the best way I find to beat Machida on UFC Undisputed is by kicks to the legs and body.

Maybe Shogun got a ps3

all ive learned from any of this, is that most ppl think MMA fans are so dense, they can watch something, and be told something else, and just believe what they are told.... maybe it is a sport for redneck skinheads....

seriously, anybody believing that, esp among what i consider on this forum, above average mma intelligence, that simply the majority of us (including every MMA site on the net that had it for Shogun, which was ALL of them) can be easily swayed by Joe and Goldie.... it's very insulting.

Who hit hardest, and did most damage, is not a judging criteria though. Machs strikes were all hard, and there were more of them, and they were upstairs not downstairs. As such by the judging criteria he won, even if without the criteria it's clear Shogun did more damage (mainly for being the bigger stronger fighter), which in a normal world is how you would pick the winner - but again, the criteria is specific.

This fight has made me feel really positive about MMA just when I was thinking it was becoming a little stagnant and uncompetative. I will bet my right nostril hair that there will be a Shogun vs Machida 3.
I will bet 20k at that rua loses the rematch straight up...what do you say? big mouth??????

I had 20 bucks on Machida against a friend but honestly I gave rounds 1,2,4 and 5 to Shogun. Had my wallet out and everything before they even called the decision. But yeah I didn't take my friends money or anything since Shogun truly won.
