A knockout wasn't a big concern in their fight as we could see

I was a little bit gunshy about Shogun for this match (as was everyone else), but we're seeing the PRIDE Shogun now.
It seems he's completely past being unfamiliar with the Cage and the no stomping/soccer kicks rule. If this is the rebirth of the Pride Shogun, Silva would have his hands full and I'd judge that fight 50/50. If this was in the ring, with stomps and soccer kicks, I give this fight to Shogun convincingly.
This was a man who knocked out Overeem and Ricardo Arona in the
same night. He beat Lil' Nog convincing. He massacred Rampage in the first round. He submitted Randleman, a world class Greco wrestler, in the first round.
What I'd love to see is Shogun destroy whoever wins Tito vs Griffin, then see a Shogun vs Machida rematch. If he takes the belt, then Silva vs Shogun. If he doesn't take the belt but the fight is super close, Shogun vs Silva. If he gets crushed in the rematch somehow, Shogun vs Rashad.
