UFC never notify their fighters of anything.
Why is this???
This isn't the first time the UFC has done something like this. A quick one that comes to mind was when they changed Rich Franklins opponent from being Dan Henderson (2) to being somebody else which later was determined to be Vitor Belfort. I remember Rich tweeting and saying he is still training for Dan because the UFC hasn't contacted him that the fight is off.
Is the UFC really that busy that they cant call their fighters when something big comes up in their fight or do they just not care?? Maybe they depend on us Hardcore Fans to notify the fighters of the rumors??
And LoL at the way he spelled Disappointing.

Often times someone will leak information before Dana has a chance to day anything. For instance, someone at Brock's camp probably said something to the press before Dana wanted it spilled. Samething with Rich, as his fight with Vitor was a rumor at first.

Haha, true, doesn't he have 2 degrees or something? Although I guess I have 3 and sometimes I can barely spell at all. So the message is, don't go to college kids.

It makes sense to leave a training fighter alone until you know for sure what's going on.
"Not to disrupt your camp or anything, but you're not fighting your original opponent and we don't know if you'll have a new one or not. In conclusion, you may or may not need to be ready to fight next month. Happy training, KTHNXBYE."

He's right. It takes time to formalize agreements and get contracts down. In this case the press is quick to jump on it even if it may be unsubstantiated rumours. How many times have the media got it wrong then quickly corrected themselves. The UFC isn't going to release anything unless they are 100% otherwise they'll look unprofessional. These days the press are quick though which is good for us fans because sometimes we're able to hear what's going on.
Scenario: Someone in camp leaks the news about Brock.
UFC: They hear about it, but want to talk to Brock directly to confirm it. Usually 24 hours pass before anything is verified. Why, because they want to confirm it and secondly figure out what to do with their main card while they got hundreds of other things to worry about.
Not having that card completely screws up the line-up so A. they can completely cancel the card which is unlikely so B they'll have to bump up the co main event or replace it.
The UFC just makes it look ridiculously easy. Remember Affliction. They were in a "similar" situation and went out of business, same goes to Elite. UFC simply rolls over it with ease.
Without a doubt Brock needs more time to train. Rashad vs Thiago Silva would be a good co-main event. Tito has to be relishing in this now.

Clearly a typo (o and i are next to each other) instead of him just sucking at spelling. That comment Franklin made about Vitor fight @ twitter was even crazier for a guy who used to be a teacher.
Apparently it was done quickly with cell phone though so its understandable, just thought it was more funny than a single letter typo by Carwin. :P

The fight with Vitor was a rumor but Dan not being his opponent anymore was not. It was Fact for a few days that Dan was not his opponent anymore and Rich still said he is training like it is because Dana hasnt said anything to him.
There are actually a lot more instances then these too that fighters say they haven't heard anything but the stuff media has told them.
I dont think the UFC has to tell their fighters "rumors" but if you talk to Brock Lesnar on the phone and he sais he is sick and will have to withdraw from the bout then the next thing you should probably do is clal or text the other fighter and tell him "brock is sick and says he might have to get out of the bout, will notify you later when i have more info" I think thats better then leaving the fighters in the dark. You guys are acting like the only way to notify the fighters is to disrupt their training along with it.
