Shogun does have every right to be pissed....At 4 people....the 3 Judges for not seeing it his way and himself for listening to his corner and not pressing to finish the fight......thats how razor thin decisions are lost...
I have never seen Lyoto in that bad of a position he couldnt walk in the 5th and due to the respect of Machida's game Shogun still played it safe rather than letting go and perhaps catching a flash k/o.....
EDIT: Kind of an irresponsible statemnet considering the UFC has no control over the Judges, they cant even choose to not have a ref, at least i dont think they can, Dana in the post fight press semed like he couldnt stand Steve Mazzagatti, certainly didnt give me the impression he wanted him to ref any fights or that he approves of him as a ref, so if The UFC doesnt control that even, I dont see the connection to the Judges.....

IF shogun is going to throw out a wild accussation like this out he at least needs to back it up with something.

So what, Shogun, the judges are corrupt? UFC's in bed with CSAC.
Hard to say, because it seems there were no follow-up questions asked, no effort made by Tatame to have him clarify his comments. I expected more from a publication that covers MMA regularly.
Here's the full article.

So much shit journalism on the net these days.

In the rematch, Shogun will knock out Machida, quote me on that one. I expect it to be a completely different bout, with both fighters being more aggressive. I think that Shogun payed too much respect to Machida in the fight (regardless of this, he still clearly won the fight) and could of knocked out Machida if he used his aggression. He knows not to let the next fight go to a decision and will knock Machida out.

i do expect Shogun to be more aggressive next time, but i dont understand why ppl think Machida will be?? Why, this worked out perfectly for him, he was very unconvincing and had a UD, why change anything? Why risk anything?

Well i hope Shogun is a littel bit more agressive in the rematch, because this makes the percentage of an early KO by Lyoto a lot higher! I think we all can be sure, that Lyoto will not be the same fighter that he was on Saturday. One of the best ( or probably the best ) Muay thai and pound for pound fighter in ther World is his best friend. So i am pretty sure Silva will tell him everthing he needs to pull of in the next fight. I hope they train for Lyotos rematch every day^^

Machida was/is the Champ the challenger needs to beat him convicingly to win the belt IMO. Playing it safe does not earn you the title. Shame on Rua if he had gas in the tank and decided to play defense rather than go for the win. Rematch is in order and Rua needs to take that belt, which I believe he can.

Refresh my memory, when was the last time Rua was knocked down? Rua needs to realise that he can go into an exchange being aggressive knowing that he can take a good punch or kick to the head and land the harder punch/kick to his opponent. You could compare this to the Couture/Nog fight. Nog knew he could take a good, solid blow from Randy and used this to his advantage.
What makes you think Rua wont be determined and training his ass off every day to win the rematch? He was devastated that he had lost, crying post fight in the dressing room. He will be just as focused as Lyoto.

His corner told him he won. He says, "I'm sure I won." which is exactly what people say when they are not sure!
It's like... I'm sure I locked the door. I'm sure I left my car here. I'm sure I did have a condom on. That kind of thing.
To me, it seems like he is looking for assurances that he won, but he wasn't sure himself. I think both fighters we're equally unsure at the end of the fight. I bet neither really want to go through that again but they'll say, "Sure, I would like a rematch."... and then go home and cry.
