well, not as bad as this guy.....

According the current middleweight champion Anderson Silva, the judges were right, and the winner of UFC 104's main bout was, indeed, Lyoto Machida.

They fought well, made a good fight, but Machida won well," Silva said to Tatame. "Lyoto fought well, was very well-trained. It was a hard-fought fight. Shogun fought at his pace very well - was very prepared, is very experienced - but the technique was superior and Lyoto won resoundingly."

Silva continued to say that the main event of UFC 104 was a fight that fans wanted to see. He said that Mauricio "Shogun" Rua's leg kicks were a good strategy, but they were not enough to beat Machida.

"In my opinion," said the middleweight champion, "Lyoto won all rounds."

Silva and Machida are currently looking to return to Brazil and begin training for the rematch between the two light-heavyweights. No date or venue has been set for the rematch.

Machida won the 4th. There is no way in hell he can actually think he won 4 of 5. He was getting beat up for the 1st 3 rounds, no way in hell he can argue otherwise. The thing is that Shogun didn't dominate and Lyoto's reputation is what won the fight. Lyoto looked weak and anyone who says different doesn't know shit about fighting.

Regardless of who said what, there is no way that fight was unanimously won by Machida. After watching a second time with not so much beer in me I saw it a little more even.

Nope. You are wrong. Let me ask you this... if EVERYONE thought Shogun won, why is there still so much debate ringing around the internet? Surely if EVERYONE agreed there would be no debate, no? Maybe there are more than a few, FEW who disagree, hmm?

I had it 3-2 in favor of shogun. I cant see how any won would score it 4 rounds for machida. I guess the person fighting in the cage gets a differint perspective and a biased view.

even though I don't think that Shogun was in anykind of "LOAL HES DEAD" danger my self, I have to say to all you critics - no offence, but you weren't in the fight, Machida was. AND even though, we can't be sure about his honesty, I'm pretty sure he knows what's he talking about a bit more then we do.

The debate isn't about if Shogun won... the debate is about how the Judges could have possibly given this fight to Machida?!?!?

I didn't see any point where Shogun was in danger in that fight. Judging from the replays I would say Shogun actually landed the more effective and damaging strikes during the bout. I personally didn't give Machida a single round but I can see how some are debatable.

Well of course Anderson thinks Lyoto won, that's his boy. He's not gonna say his boy lost. If they would have given the decision to Shogun he would have said "Lyoto fought hard but Shogun was a little better".

I look at this the same as most guys on this forum, they are seriously backing Machida for the fight so of course they are going to say that he won because to admit that he straight out lost would be admitting they were wrong. It's easier to just say "hey, he won, I knew he would".
