Koschek/Johnson at 106
http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/upd...-ufc-106-20582
"Josh Koscheck and Anthony Johnson have verbally agreed to fight each other at UFC 106 on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas, Sherdog.com has learned from a source close to the bout.
Koscheck announced Tuesday on his Twitter account that he would be fighting Nov. 21 in Las Vegas in a co-main event fight.
“I got some big fight news for me,” he wrote. “I am fighting nov 21 in Vegas. Co main event!!! Haha it's on baby!!!!”
Following Brock Lesnar’s withdrawal from his title defense against Shane Carwin, the scheduled UFC 106 co-main event, Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin, became the main event. Reports surfaced later that the UFC was looking to bolster the card with a new co-main, and that now appears to be the case with Koscheck-Johnson.
Koscheck stopped Frank Trigg at UFC 103 in September to rebound from an upset loss to Paulo Thiago in February. Sherdog.com’s No. 5-ranked welterweight, he has 11 UFC wins and four losses. Johnson, 8-2, has won three straight in the Octagon. Most recently he stopped Yoshiyuki Yoshida on Oct. 24. "
Hell yeah!

Hell yeah! I just posted on the other thread about Josh fighting in the co-main event that I would prefer to see Kos fight Rumble. This is great news.
I think Rumble is going to ktfo him pretty quickly. Man I would love to see that! They should put it on Spike because there's no way in hell I'm paying $45 for that card.

Hopefully Johnson will make weight, it's interesting seeing him compete at 170 again I thought he was definitely going to move up. I hope AJ can get the KO, I really hate Kos he's such a dbag. This fights easy to break down Johnson will wanna keep it standing where he has the advantage and Kos will try and take him down. Koscheck's an idiot if he tries to stand with Johnson, Johnson's striking is was better than Kos's, Kos is way too wild, and basically only throws that big overhand right, he would get picked apart standing

This card is way better now, even with the heavyweight championship put off til January. I really look forward to a card where you see Rumble vs Koschek, Little Nog vs Banha Cane, Hazelett vs Parisyan, Saunders vs Davis, Sadollah vs Baroni and of course Tito vs Forrest. Definitely gets a from me.

AJ should take this via 1st round maybe 2nd round KO imo. I think his wrestling will be good enough to defend Joshes TD's.

Love the matchup, 2 good wrestlers with KO power and ever improving stand up going at it.
Plus this fight makes a whole lots of sense to sort things out at 170.
If AJ beats Kos, give him a title shot.

He's gonna fight twice in a month?
I guess there's no reason he shouldnt, he certainly doesnt need any time to rest up after saturday (unless he hurt his hand in that 50 second fight).
This is exactly the fight I was hoping for. get to see if AJ can deal with a top wrestler. Im not sure he can just yet, but if he were to beat kos pretty convincingly then I bet the UFC would give him a shot at GSP (allowing him to skip past fitch and alves). They are dying to find someone to fight GSP, and AJ could be the answer. He might not be ready for it yet but he's young and he's got the tools, so I expect it to happen eventually.

Hmm, not a great fight for AJ. He's gonna be drained after another weight cut (that's if he makes weight) and with the pace Kos will push, he might gas pretty quickly.

If Kos is still trying to be Chuck 2.0 he will get knocked out, but if his gameplan includes takedowns, he will take this one pretty easily. Not even GSP could stop all of Kos's takedowns.
