Pat Barry: "I would like to fight Struve"

New Pat Barry interview.

Quote:
"I would like to fight Struve. It would be a David and Goliath. I think I will match up with him because he's a great kickboxer. I would like to fight him next and then work my way up to Kongo."

"Kimbo Slice is a name and from a business standpoint, he is very neccessay, but as a fighter, I don't think he should be in the UFC. But fans like to see big guys beat each other up."

"From a business standpoint, I understand it, but do us legitimate fighters like it? NO! But we will just have to get them out one at a time."

"Kimbo Slice is not a trained fighter. He's a really tough street guy, but not a tough fighter. Houston has more training."

"I would love for Fedor to lose, but I don't think Rogers is the man to beat him."

Struve is so much more than a kickboxer, in reality his kickboxing isn't even his strongest tool anymore his BJJ is.

At last someone got his name right... I'd like to see this fight, but then again, I'd like to see Pat Barry fight anyone.

I don't know why everyone is convinced Barry takes this, Struve has kickboxing experiance so I would expect him to be able to deal with Barry's leg kicks and I would expect Struve to take Barry down and easily use his long legs to gain the submission victory.

Struve looks awfully softbatch to me standing if he has a decent kickboxing record it is probably against mediocre fighters who didn't know how to cope with his range. Barry would eat him alive standing though I agree if Struve can get him down he will sub Barry.

I wouldn't count Struve out of this fight. Barry's ground game is virtually non-existent. If Struve gets him to the ground he won't have any problem submitting him.

I think Struve could submit him pretty easily, Barry is pretty much just terrible on the ground where struve is actually pretty good. If barry can get through his reach standing he could get the KO for sure though.
