I don't have a problem with Dana giving him a shit fight, as long as he gets a real one after that. I think it is a good move by Dana. You don't want to bring him in and have him lose, all the guys who really don't know anything about MMA need to see this guy destroy someone, then after that Rampage will be there man and they will want to see more of him. Then they can give him Babalu, if he wins, he gets the title shot.
Now if they were just to give him this fight, that that would be BS. But I think for a guy like Rampage and the very new MMA fans of the UFC, they need to see what this guy is all about. Hell most of the people don't know what Pride is, let alone guys who fight in Pride.

It will at least be fun to watch. I don't mind him fighing Hogar as long as Liddell is next.

This could still be a very entertaining fight, albeit a short one. Here are some odds I thought up for the fight. What do you think?
7:5 Rampage will slam Sam
5:3 Rampage will KO Sam
3:1 Sam will go Tim Sylvia style and shit his pants
5:1 Sam will make it past the first 3 minutes
10:1 Sam will make it through the first round
15:1 Sam will actually hurt Rampage during the fight
25:1 Sam will take Rampage down
100:1 The fight will go the distance
500:1 Rampage rips off one of Sam's limbs and beats him with it
10000:1 Sam beats Rampage

anyone who says it an embarrassment to rampage to have him fight hoger is wrong, he actually wanted a couple warm up fights to let the fans kno what he's got.

I agree, I mean putting him up against one of the top LHW's for his first match may not be good for him, if he happens to get his ass kicked the newer fans that dont know him are gonna think he sucks which is untrue, if they see him throw around a guy like Hoger like someone said they are gonna wanna see more of him which will make his future possible losses less severe publicity wise. It's pretty common to build up hype for a new great fighter by putting him up against an average Joe for his first fight.

rampage should avoid chuck liddell for as long as possible, there's no way rampage will beat the iceman now, chuck's alot better since their first fight and rampage well he's got worse but i hope he get's better, let him have a couple of warm up matches and then watch chuck knock him out.

If Dana thinks Hoger is an easy fight for Rampage to get him over with the crowd then what a moron. It probably is and easy fight but he should match up quality vs quality. It's highly irresponsible to put someone in against a fighter he's supposed to dominate. Protection for the fighters anyone?

But who wants to see Rampage loss, and not get to fight Chuck, no one. Also you know how the UFC is when people loss they get rid of them and no one wants them to get rid of Rampage at all especially not right away.
