Big Nog vs. Cain Velasquez at UFC 108

Since the victory over Randy Couture at UFC 102, the Brazilian Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira was rumored to fight the loser of the title fight between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin, but the postponement of the bout forced the UFC to change the plans. According to Sensei Sportv’s blog, Nogueira’s manager confirmed that the Brazilian will face the undefeated heavyweight Cain Velasquez at UFC 108, which takes place at January 2. Stay tuned at for more news about the UFC.

Wow awesome fight

Imo Nogueira beats Cain standing up and may very well submit him off his back or sweep him like he did to Randy. I have Big Nog in this one.

I cant wait for January 2nd!

I still got Cain winning this. His striking has impressed me more than Nog's and if he wont get stupid like Randy and jumps into Nog's guard he can control where the fight goes.

Also if Cain plays it smart like Lesnar did against Mir and only goes to ground when he can secure good position instantly (Brock stood up from Mir's guard and took him down right after and ended up in side control) we might actually see Nog finished for second time by Cain's nasty G&P.

Cain by TKO/UD unless Nog manages to pull another miracle sub after getting beaten up for almost 3 rounds already.

Really pulling for Nog via sub, but think Cain could get the upset.

Big Nog all the way. I don't think Cain will be able to GNP him, and I don't see him knocking Nog out. If Cain wins it will only be by control. Nog will submit him in the 1st round me tinks.

I am pulling for Nog in this fight. He looked good against Couture.

If Cain wins, I don't think his performance will be as dominating as he's been in the past. Nog has decent striking skills, and awesome submission game which cain hasn't seen yet.

Definitely an interesting fight. I wish they could fight at 106!
