Easy way to end this.

Steroids themselves have pros and cons. Watch Real Sports coverage on it with the guy who is 90 years old and has used a regulated amount of steroids his whole life with no problem. Then watch the part with the guys on Anabolic steroids who take 5 times what they should to get huge for a fight, boxing match, football game, weight lifting comp, etc. and they die because of heart failure.

Here's the bottom line, this goes for all substances in MMA, if they are illegal to buy, sell, or have, then they are not fair.

And BTW I was watching unleashed last night and saw an older Tim Sylvia fight, and I missed the whole thing with him on roids when that happened, but he looked totally differnet in that fight compared to know. You could see his shoulders, lats, back, chest were way bigger and toned than they are now.

You should have referred to them as anabolics...had the thread been started "Abuse of illegal anabolics", then it might be taken seriously. As it is now, it's obvious that the people complaining about this don't have enough information or knowledge to be argued with. I find these topics absolutely laughable. Maybe you should ban the fighter with Asthma because his inhaler is giving him roids.

Great post. The thing is most you complaining about anabolics aren't educated on them. Do you know doctors prescribe steroids to men with low testosterone? I know there's a huge difference between that and cycling - don't waste your breath. The point is, the stuff isn't cocaine or heroin. In addition, so what if they are illegal? Just because something is illegal doesn't make it immoral or wrong. Do all of you obey the speed limits always?
Last point, do any of you take creatine, weight gainers, energy pills, etc? Any kind of supplement to aid your body when you work hard in the gym? Of course you do. Anabolics are stronger, yes. They are more effective - and that's the point. Not everyone will decide to take something truly effective like anabolics and therefore will criticize the guy who decides to experiment with his body. Instead of saying people who use anabolics are losers or aren't as good a person as you ON WHATEVER LEVEL, you should at least see WHY anabolics are taken.

Simply put- if it is illegal to be caught on it and you're on it, you're cheating.

You are a follower. What are you, a cop? Nothing against police officers but your holier than thou attitude is more than annoying. Ever notice how the ones being caught using were the ones that lost the fight? The results come in after the fight. What does that tell you? That not everyone is being tested because both Pride and UFC would lose almost all of its fighters. If you were competing against the best in the world, wouldn't you do everything in your power so that you could use your training on the most efficient level? I train naturally but have done one cycle. I probably will do another one in six months. It's not to make me better than anyone or feel better about myself. I don't have anything against people who choose NOT to use anabolic steroids, or prohormones (which do the same thing) or any supplement like Trib, fenugreek and creatine (which all increase stregnth and test levels)- your arguments are just a little too one sided and narrow minded to take seriously.

The best post on this thread.

Agreed, best post int he world...

and youre right, I prolly should have changed the title to something more detailed or specific...

And it's not my fault I still believe in the better sport of a fair fight. Not my fault some motherf***ers arev trashing the notion.

And as earlier stated, if it aint legal, then it's cheating. Again, if someone said Gatorade wa sillegal and you went through so much effort to drink gatorade, you're a tard. And in essense, you're telling me that rules don't matter if it gives you an edge, so if I take a chunk out of someone's stomach because it was convenient to bite them whent he ref wasnt looking, that's okay, huh?

1. He who spares the bad injures the good

2. To compete is to live, but in order to fight you must first begin by digging two graves.

3. No good deed shall go unpunished.
