@ZENKI1
I see your point regards Fitch, but you have to look at his record since the defeat rather than his total record. Paulo Thiago and Gono is not better than Hardys last two fights of Davis and Swick. ( Note, hes also beaten Gono already )
It's not Fitchs fault the UFC are feeding him back in slowly. He certainly did a job on his last two opponents. If Fitch had Swick as his last win, you can be damn sure I would agree that he deserves the next shot.
As it stands, I would like Hardy or Rumble. Hardy preferably. He's done the rounds and had alot of fights.

Jus because a fighter has beaten the top 5 doesnt mean that top five isnt deserving of a rematch . If they go back post a good win or 2 then they deserve another shot no if an buts about it. You dont jus dip into fighters ranked 7-10 (where i c hardy) and pick them cause its a fresh face when there hasnt been any rematches.

You also must realize that it is not good to have GSP fight the same few fighters over and over again. It isn't exciting for the fans nor is it good for business. There haven't been rematches because He just beat Alves and Fitch has only fought 2 times since he last fought GSP. Hughes isn't at his best. Alves beat Koscheck on the way to GSP. Swick and Kampmann both lost. There isn't too many choices as of right now. Hardy has looked impressive too. He is an exciting fighter as well. It's good for the UFC.

Who else if anyone, apart from Swick, would Fitch have to go through to get another shot at GSP?
GSP has said Fitch was one of his toughest opponents and we've already discussed how GSP couldn't finish him.
I know he beat Fitch up quite a bit but Fitch was a tough and worthy opponent, and I'd be excited as hell for another GSP/Fitch fight.

This is GSP's only 'gimme' fight since he fought Serra (and we all know what happened there). The UFC puts him against one guy with dubious legitimacy and all of a sudden GSP has been fighting a long list of nobodies and cans, or b) is feverishly ducking Silva. Even if he was ducking Silva I would hardly ******* blame him.
Hardy is the closest thing GSP will fight to a bum in a title match. I would argue, judging from his most recent fight, that Hardy poses problems for everybody in the UFC WW division, everybody except GSP. Does he deserve a title shot? Not really, but he's whats available right now.
If the UFC gives up some someone like Semtex to GSP in his next fight (assuming he wins) then you can start bitching about how two suspect challengers is a 'line of bums' for Rush. Until, then, this is one fight against a game fighter and the whining is unwarranted.

I think that Fitch deserves another shot. I think that the UFC is just putting some time in between his last shot and his next shot. I personally wouldn't mind seeing this fight again. But I am more interested in Alves and Fitch. I am very disappointed that it was cancelled.

Still a better win than anyone Fitch has beaten post-GSP imo.

This.
GSP put a 25 mn beating on him not too long ago and at this time, he isnt more deserving than Hardy imo.

Hardy isnt a bum, but he probably will get styled on when they fight.
