Lesnar's illness has really brought out the UGLINESS in forums everywhere

I'm not singling this forum out, it's actually been better here than most places, but the fact that so many people have tried to kick Brock while he was down with insults while being seriously ill is disheartening to say the least. I've been banned on forums before for even questioning Fedor's GOAT status, yet many people are floating around unpunished for wishing ill will and health on Brock, even death making jokes about his situation.

As it turns out, Brock will probably be okay, but I can only imagine how much Fedor, Nog, BJ ect fans would have reacted if their favorite fighters were dealing with the same situations and people were actually trying to terrorize them while they were. They would be tarred and feathered. There would be bans happening all over the place and utter outrage.

This situation has shown a sickening double standard. It's not okay to hate any fighter, and I think that's something that needs to be gotten across.

I may not always cheer for Brock but I respect anyone with the balls to compete in MMA and step in a UFC octogon. If what was describes as the illness Brock has, its life changing for him, to the point where he might have difficulty picking up his son in his arms. I don't wish that to anyone.

Some people simply think if Brock is sick they wont have to see him fight on a PPV they paid for. Guess what, its not about you this time. We should all wish Brock a quick recovery. Period.

If there is one thing I have learned in life it's that there are douchebags and assholes everywhere you go, you can't escape them. Some people are just like that. It's sad to see people that would wish bodily harm to another human being...especially someone that does nothing more than fight a certain way that they don't care for. I personally can't stand Machida's fighting style, but I would NEVER in a million years wish any harm to the man.

As I said some people are just douchebags...I try to ignore them as best I can.

Awww I'm touched you thought of me whilst making this post.
I was messing around, of course I don't want him to die. Christ... if you're this sensitive on a forum you'd get eaten alive in the real world. There I had to say it, because it's boring and unrealistic if everyone just ass kisses.

I don't and no sane person would wish ill-health on Brock or ANYONE for that matter, but there is a such thing as a ******* joke. Especially seeing as how hypocritical you were saying you wanted Brock Lesnar to curb stomp me to death, and that you'd pay for it. Irony much?

That is what I'd call a double-standard.

as much as people may hate his antics, that has nothing to do with real life. i hope he's ok, i hope he comes back, all organizations need guys like him so the fans have someone to hate and so that casual fans will but ppv's. besides, it isn't like he's the first guy to act like a douchebag in sports and i'm sure he won't be the last.

I don't remember anyone wishing him harm. Unless you mean people questioning if he took steroids - which is hardly the same thing.

Anyway I said before, and will say again. I hope he gets better. Though the post calling for death and karma and curb stomping etc, I do remember as especially bad/stupid.

Edit - nasty stuff has been added since I last read it - so ignore most my post

I'm not surprised people are saying some things like that, it's the internet its full of assholes and douchebags that say things because they are behind a monitor. I don't like what Brock did after UFC 100 but it would be a shame to not see him compete again and for the MMA world not to be able to see how much he can improve and how good he possibly could be

Personally, i have seen some bad posts on some forums, but most of them weren't attacks on Brock, more like some people that didn't know how to express themself.
It's a shame though, to kick someone, when he's down.
Brock Lesnar is not a fovourite of mine, but i respect his hard work and the fact he is a fighter.
I wish him all the best. Speedy recovery.

lol you guys serious? Brock would probably kick you if you were down. The guys a roid raging meathead. I don't wish he dies, I hope he gets better so some day soon he can get exposed in the ring and look like the talentless WWE hack he is.

Try and take the mature stance and separate his ring persona from the actual guy.

I don't know why people keep running with the whole talentless WWE meathead angle either. I mean, you must know enough about MMA to know that Brock was formerly a division 1 wrestling champion right? Why do you focus on that as opposed to him being in the WWE?

Does being an NCAA wrestling champion AND a UFC HW champion with hardly any MMA experience really qualify as talentless... or is it the exact opposite?

List me your greatest accomplishments and we'll see how they measure up to Brock's. My guess is not very favorably.

Whatever your position is on the topic, lets stay on it and keep things civil guys...

At this point i think that everyone realizes that Brock is really screwed up, from what or how it originated who knows, but i think everyone wants to see him fight again...whatever their reasons are!!!

For the most part very well said. I am definately not the #1 Brock fan out there and probably never will be!!! However the man is sick and was at one point there was speculation he may die which he is still not out of the water. And yet some of you guys out there had to come out and kick him while he is down. I cannot believe the heartlessness of some people. If man is very ill and maybe close to dying and you come out and blast him, the I love to be the one to break it to you but you are going far and beyond what he did getting in Frank's face after the fight. So the man is in a time of trouble and needs our support. Even if u hate him as a fighter, realize he is a man and has a family that he puts food on the table for. So grow a heart and come together as MMA fans and wish our fallen the best.

Brock I dont neccesarily like you as a fighter but you are a human being.. I am praying for you and your family every day. Hope to see you back at 100%
