Complaints About UFC DVD's
Is it just me or does anyone else hate how the UFC edits soo much stuff out of their DVDs?
I can understand them cutting out the intros to the undercard fights as that costs a lot of money to pay royalties to use all of that music. But why do they have to cut out the pre fight and post fight interviews? That really detracts from the fights and getting to know the fighters. I also notice how they cut off peroids between rounds. Its really annoying.

yeah that sucks. I also noticed that they do not run from fight to fight cleanly, they always hiccup a little bit, anybody else ever notice this?

I find it pretty annoying that they just cut out the post fight interviews. I'd like to hear what "Fighter A" was thinking when he fought "Fighter B". The fights just end abruptly, and kill whatever flow the show had.
I really couldn't care any less about the entrances, but I do think they should include pre & post fight interviews on every fight. It helps give a backstory.
Your avatar reminds me of the putrid atrocity that was XPW.

Id like to see the intros as well, but because they cant get consent to put the themes onto their dvd's they have to edit those parts out....also some of the post fight interviews I'm sure are entertaining
PS: XPW WAS once pretty sweet, havent seen in a few years thougn

Ye i have ufc 52 and it only shows the entrances for the main and co-main events. That really sucks because i would like to see the entrances. They also dont show the fighter introductions where they show clips of the fighters past fights.

No. XPW was always a really terrible indy fed, ran by some carny porn owner, who had no clue how the business worked. You either saw washed up, D-grade ex ECW wrestlers, who meant nothing to ECW and meant even less in XPW, or you saw 2 scrawny spot workers blow everything, and have the biggest clusterbomb of a match. Total nothing fed, that had no importance in a carny business like pro wrestling. That's how pathetic XPW was.

The problem is. They want more money with out spending a lot.
THEY GOT TO LEARN TO RESPECT THE FANS(PPL OF MMA). Who spend their hard earn cash on PPV. Just to watch MMa FIGHTS. i JUST THINK they don't understand what some ppl pay to watch a good fight even though we can't always afford the PPV. Because we are MMA sports fans. We like the action rite! Anyways be true to yourself! MMA FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

Pride DVD's are actually 500x better.. mabe not the older ones.. but all the new ones that have been coming out are insane.. Final Conflict 2005, Critical Countdown 2005, Total Elimination 2005.. are very well put together...
ufc cuts out so much its ridiculous.. there payperviews seem more exciting in bars and whatnot but when it comes to dvd's pride is years ahead of ufc

I wish they wouldn't cut out the entrances that are originally broadcast on the world-wide PPV. I love hearing what entrance music fighters pick...and I think it adds to the overall "big-fight" / "big-event" atmosphere.
I know they'd have to pay some crazy royalty amounts to said artists...but they could leave the entrances on there, and just dub over with some in-house produced material.
