Mark Hominick Vs. Jorge Gurgel June 28/06

I don't get why they booed this fight. Sure hominick ran like a girl but he didn't want to go to the ground. When the fight goes to the ground they booo. I just don't get it. It was a good stand up fight. It wasn't 2 big heavywieghts throwing bombs, but you can's expect that. I just don't get fans some days. Did anyone see something i didn't cause i have been drinking?

That match looked more like a jogging competition rather than a mixed martial arts fight. I think both of them didn't deserve to win. Jorge Gurgel made Rich Franklin look like a disgrace by fighting for the same training organization. I can't believe Hominick is a kickboxing champion when he faught like that. I wouldn't have booed though. The crowd wanted Gurgel to win for some odd reason.

Yeah it did look like a jogging match. But hominick sucks hard on the ground. I could submit him. He played it safe and didn't throw kicks. But I don't think they should've got mad and booed.

True. I didn't see Hominick go once to the ground and try to fight Gurgel. He got Gurgel on the ground a lot but didn't seize the opprotunity to fight him on the ground.

That might be because Gugel's ***** ass is a BJJ blackbelt. But he is a horrible fighter. He needs to stick to coaching and out of the ring. JMO

Rich Franklin is only a brown belt but is a million times better lol. That's funny and mysterious there. This match was boring and both looked like cowards. End of story.

It was obvious that both fighters were in fantastic shape. Hominick did exactly what he wanted to - avoid the takedown. Boring match to watch but he got the job done.

Yeah, that was my most anticipated fight of the night. I thought for sure there would be a war with blood.
