Rumble not worried about the scale or the haters

LAS VEGAS -- When Anthony Johnson met with the media on Wednesday, he told them right away that he currently weighed 180 pounds and would have no problems making the 171-pound weight limit on Friday prior to his UFC 106 fight against Josh Koscheck.

And when FanHouse spoke to "Rumble," we asked the same question one more time for good measure. Guess what? He sounded very confident (once again) that there will be no replay of his weight cutting issues at UFC 104. Johnson also talked about getting a shot to fight in Saturday's co-main event, the time he spent training with Koshceck in the past, and looking to prove that he is a force to be reckoned in the UFC's crowded welterweight division. The video interview is below.

There's a video interview too:

AJ makes weight, stuffs kosh's take downs and then ko's him.

This should be a badass fight. Only thing I am worried about is Kos. I am worried he might be too reluctant to stand and bang with Rumble for too long. He was on his way up at one point but got sloppy and cocky and got KOed by Paulo Thiago. Now he's on his way back up again and I think he might try to be a little more cautious in this fight. I think he might get rocked by Anthony early and start just going for takedowns and resorting back to his lay and pray tactics to ensure a W.

Let's hope I'm wrong though.

Josh's wrestling is top notch but Rumble is a monster for that weight class. Don't think he'll have the strength to take down or hold Rumble.

In the video interview rumble says he knows kosh won't stand and bang with him for long if he's smart. He knows kosh will try taking him down and rumble says he's got something "special" for kosh when that happens.

Yeah we'll see if he can actually make weight. Either way I hope he slaughters Kos then moves up to MW or LHW where he belongs

I like his attitude in the interview, but I also like Koscheck.

This should be a great fight.

I can't wait for this fight. Hopefully, Rumble KO's the KOS . Rumble is, as a fighter, what Kos wishes he could be... an entertaining wrestler with great striking.

If Rumble can't make weight, they should kick him out of the division (after actually fighting) and make him face guys his own size.

But for predictions, I think either AJ knocks out Koschek in the first or second minute OR AJ gasses (just a bit, enough to notice) and Kos either pulls off a late TKO or a decision.

Johnson better have his act together come weighins. I think dana said if he doesnt make weight his future fights will have to be at middleweight which they should be at anyways.

I hope he has his weight cutting down pretty well for this fight, because it is gonna make it a lot harder for him if he has to cut to much weight in a short period of time and comes in drained against a cardio takedown machine like Koschek. Koschek is one of the worst people you could gas against, this dude does not get tired and fights at a frenetic pace for the entire fight. Either way, I cannot wait to see this fight.
