I am a huge fan of Anderson Silva. If I were ever a fighter, I'd want to be a mirror image of him (I am black and 6'2 and and have picked up Muay Thai ever since I got my BJJ purple belt, so...). However, Fedor would beat Anderson so badly, it would make every LHW who cuts from where Fedor weighs look like amatuers. Fedor is not the best striker but he would could fight Anderson well, even standing. He came in with the perfect strategy to fight Cro Cop standing (closing the distance and putting the pressure) and he did decently. Hell, if this fight were to take place, Fedor would be the first person to knock Anderson out cold.

Honestly, I'd like it much better if he moved to another org. The UFC doesn't have anybody to put against him. Hell, who are you going to have him fight? He won't fight Machida. I was hoping for a bout with GSP, but after he destroyed forrest that kind of went out the window. If he's not going to fight for the title, then don't have him pick of contendors like Rashad, Rua,or whoever else he might fight. However, I would love to see him fight Fedor or Moussassi. Hell, he could even have a rematch with Hendo in strikeforce. Imagine how dumb Dana would feel if Hendo won, not that I think he would. But the fight I'd like to see the most is a street fight with Floyd Maywhether. I'd love to see silva get him in the tai clinch. I hate that prick.

Fedor would have to be a catchweight. The RJJ fight is a mistake imo, I think he's going to get embarrassed.

The UFC would have the option to match any offer from another MMA org for what a year? Besides unless he loses the belt the UFC's champions clause would renew his contract and not allow him to fight for anybody else.

I don't think Fedor and Silva should fight, it's a terrible matchup for Silva and won't help his legacy at all. And for Fedor, when he beats him they'll just say "oh well he was a 185'er so it doesn't matter" even if they came in 10lbs apart.

I think outside of the UFC, Silva NEEDS to face Mousasi. In 3 years or so when Silva is out and done with the RJJ match, Mousasi will be in his prime and it'd be an epic battle.

I agree.

Silva (vs) Mousasi would be a hell of a fight.

But why do you think it won't help his legacy at all if he beats Fedor? I think it would put silva in an atmosphare nobody ever experienced in the MMA Sport befor. And yes of course when he loses, he has a great excuse for it This matchup would only be bad for fedor and his legacy. In my opinion Silva can only win if this fight would happen.
