Anderson walks around at 220 LBS. Fedor at 230. 10 pounds isnt going to make a difference. Look at Couture vs Brock. 220 vs 280. Fedor and Anderson are closer than most people think.

I was saying this before and I'm going to repeat myself and say that Fedor would crush every fighter on both Strikeforce and UFC rosters (but I have to mention Lesnar who would pose the biggest threat, but now he's out of the picture and completely out of shape DURING his PRIME years. If he does come back after 1.5-2 years, he'll be beaten by dangerous newcomers). The was a time when I thought about Machida being able to stop Fedor's streak, but the fight against Rua added lots of doubts whereas Fedor kept destroying everyone easily EVEN STANDING (and I dare to say that Shogun would get smashed by Emelianenko's A-game), and on the ground nobody will NEVER sub him. If Overeem passes the tests, he'll get beaten by The Emperor just like any other fighter who tried to avoid that, and his kickboxing won't save his ass. Now, Anderson Silva is not as strong as Fedor and in many ways similar to Arlovski, so it would take longer, but the result would still be a "W" on Fedor's resume and "a stone in Dana's garden". Which is why I want to see this fight most of all. This could be the biggest "W" on his resume and even the undisputed status of a true MMA king of all time. Emelianenko is too close to it, but he needs more huge names on his "hitlist" (Siva, Barnett, Couture...), so the MMA record could make everybody's jaw hit the floor. A victory over Brock obviously wouldn't do it, a victory over Silva would. It's called stealing legacy. Just like when Julius Caesar was killed by Brutus (with help of course) and therefore shared all his legacy, so if you know Caesar, you know the man who killed him also. The same is there. You know Anderson Silva's UFC career, you'll know Fedor (if you hadn't heard of him before) who stopped him. So I want to see their fates linked and Fedor's legacy doubled!
