I think that He'd probably be able to handle most guys right off the bat. And after a lttle to atune to fighting with much larger guys, he'd be able contend. His ground is good, but alot of the big guys have good ground too.

However if Anderson pulled an Anderson and kept it standing, KOs all the way to the top. He's just too fast and his technique is just too smooth striking for a heavy hitting banger to stand for more than the time it takes for an Anderson combination.

Lutter is a MW with not that impressive takedowns and he managed to take Silva down just fine without getting hurt.

Mir takes Silva down and subs him relatively easily, but I remember him saying in an interview that there is no point for him to take Silva down because there is no challenge in that. He said something like that he would bang with Silva because subbing a striker 2 weight classes below you means pretty much nothing, but if he managed to outstrike Silva the win would be more impressive. I'll try to find that interview when I get home, but yeah I can see his point...

Other than Mir I think Nog, Lesnar, Carwin, JDS, Cain and possibly Kongo & Al Turk would beat Silva, rest he could possibly handle unless I forgot someone important...

Silva would only be likely to beat a few,

maybe Gonzaga Kongo and Mir, that is about it.

Amazing fighter, but he is a better striker, this doesn't work so well with size disadvantages in the octagon

How about Mr. Glass -- Andrei Arlovski?

Silva could rock him, though that ain't saying much. Methinks Cung Le could drop Arlovski. So could Miguel Torres. And me. And Mike Goldberg.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day, people read too much into that Lutter fight, and for the record I think Lutter has better TD's than Mir, Mir's TD's have always been weak, also Lutter is faster than Mir would be even in his dehydrated state for the first round anyway. Mir would be really slow compared to Anderson

silva would beat ALL the strikers since no one can even hit him, and he has amazing KO power. I think the wrestlers would fare the best since they would overpower him to the ground and on it (if they could catch him). I'd still say he's beat almost anyone in the UFC right now though....

QFT. I think non-wrestlers would have a hard time against Silva, not so easy to get him to the ground and keep him there if you're not a top notch wrestler, like Dan Henderson did.
