It is ignorant to wish for a fighter to win because he simply happens to live where you live!

There is nothing ignorant with cheering on your countrymen, home town team, home town guy, ect. Its part of having pride.

If Matt Serra wins, then I'll eat my hat.

There's just no way Serra can win. GSP is just way too strong for him. I'll honestly be shocked if Serra can get past the second round. That'll be a moral victory for him.

Sarah sucks. How many quality fighters or even decent fighters have you seen her submit? She sucks at submitting I'm sick of people saying she's a submission goddess. Who has she submitted? Spratt? And....that's about it. One other guy but no one knows him and I think his record is like 0-1.

Even if GSP makes a mistake Sarah sucks too bad to pull off a submission and her hammfisseseses are weak and have no KO power whatsoever. GSP can only defeat himself in this fight. I mean literally he would have to hurt HIMSELF bad enough to where he couldn't fight anymore. Call me crazy but I just don't see GSP giving himseld a kimura.

Although there is the chance that Sarah finally lands one of her patented and oh-so-classy footstomps and just breaks all of GSP's toes which would probably either make you give up or make you fight like total shit since each one of your big toes holds like 40% of your body weight or something. Yeah but that's the only real chance Sarah has to win.

As everyone else has been saying, it's obvious that GSP SHOULD win and if Serra were to win it, it would likely be due to some MAJOR FREAK ACCIDENT

Heh, American patriotism; this reminds of me Hughes' interview about not wanting to lose to St. Pierre because he was a French Canadian. =\

Anyways, all I am saying is that you should not allow your pride to bias your opinion on who to cheer for. I thought it was retarded for the fans to cheer "USA" instead of Hughes ... but in Montreal, they will probably cheer "Canada" so whatever.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I have pride for my country, but it is irrelevant in this situation.

actually probably not since quebec wants to seperate from the rest of canada but even if that wasnt the fact though we do have pride in canada we dont cheer canada when it isnt in something thats a true international event like when the raptors who are the only canadian nba team are winning we dont cheer canada we cheer for the team only when its a team labeled team canada do we cheer for canada and we also wouldnt boo another country either

The Logo at Serra's BJJ School should be a foot with a black belt tied around the ankle flying down with force about to crush another foot!
Someone should do a Serra Highlight of nothing but him foot stomping people to the music of that old awful Garth Brooks song "Shameless".

A groan of tedium escapes me...
