And for those of you dont think Tito would stand in a chance in a 3 round fight are blind. Anderson has shitty TDD, and Tito is bigger and stronger and cant grind on him with TD's and elbows. Tito Ortiz is the most UNDERrated fighter in the UFC, seriously. People shit on him for losing to Randy, Chuck, And Machida
In my opinion Tito is one of the weakest stand up fighter in the UFC today. That may sound a littel bit hard, but i truly think its fact. I heard that he trained a lot of boxing for his upcoming fight against Forrest Griffin. I hope he proofs me wrong, but i don't think this will ever happen again in his MMA Carrear. I still can't belive that he dominated the UFC Lighweight devision for so many years. Maybe i am wrong, but i never see him even touching somebody like Anderson Silva. It will be the same like tito's fight against Machida, he will be outclassed again in a way of fashion!

There are very few holes in this mans game, and if you make one mistake, most likely your going to either be in the fetal position taking blows, or your going to tapping out do to a slick submission. But if Silva has one flaw it would be his TDD. And in a 3 round fight, which it would be if he faught at LHW. A big strong grappler could pull off the upset. Too bad there arent many of them

Tito Ortiz
People may call me crazy for mentioning Tito's name, but love him or hate him, he is still a very dangerous guy. Tito is a HUGE LHW. Anderson has never faught anyone as strong as Tito with the takedown abilty and suffocating top control. Tito is VERY tough to submit, and wouldnt even have to pass Silva's guard to do damage. Call me crazy, but Tito matches up very well with Anderson. And in a 3 round fight, all he has to do is get TD's in the first 2 rounds, throw some bows, bully Anderson a bit and play it very safe in the 3rd round and grind out the decision. Tito has a very good chin and if he couldnt secure a TD inthe 3rd I think he has the defense necessary to hold on to beat Silva via decision. If Tito gets past Forrest, this fight is VERY possible. It would be a huge PPV draw, and I fight I would love to see. Dont be shocked if you see this fight in the summer.
I fully agree with you about Tito Ortiz. Whether or not people will admit it, Tito is THE guy to stop Anderson. He could take Anderson out of his element (rather easily, in my opinion), stuff him against the cage, and nullify any chance of offense for Silva. I could see Tito losing this if he foolishly stood up with Silva for too long, or tried to bully him in the clinch. He’s made mistakes like this before with guys like Chuck, but if Tito stuck to single and double legs, he’d grind Silva out for the decision.

I know you already said you accidently forgot him,

But you really forgot the one who has the biggest chance of them all ,with a wide marginal also, Vitor Belfort.

He has a match against Silva, he is the only one in the MMA circuit who has a CHANCE as of this point of the time.

Maybe but he'd still get picked apart standing.

He's become very aggressive on the feet since AS. Not a good thing.

I give him a chance but in a 5 rounder, imo he'll get KOd sonner or later.

Dan Henderson
Most ridiculous person on your list.

Hendo doesnt have the gas tank nor the top control to beat AS in a 5 round fight.

Also he needs to close the distance 1st to TD AS. His style of wrestling isnt the best to beat the 185 king.

Quote:
GSP
Not until I see how he looks at 185. But no doubt that he has the perfect style to do it and a natural 185er GSP would beat AS. Problem is, he isnt on.

Belfort has a good chance, I think it depends on gameplans. If I were Belfort, I'd go in throw slowing hands and being real safe, once Silva learned my timing and didn't feel threatened, and started dropping his hands, I'd go full speed and see who's standing when the dust settled.

Xerxes: You REALLY think Silva would pick Shogun apart standing? Writing him off just like that? Shogun has way more dynamic unpredictable striking, and Shogun's clinch is arguably better. Who has Silva dominated in the clinch? Franklin? Keep in mind Shogun dominated huge guys like Rampage in his clinch.

I think Nate has the best chance of those listed. Tito is interesting, but I'll wait to see what happens with him and Forrest.

And I think you don't give Lutter enough credit for his skill set. Sure he's pudgy and looks like a plumber, but so does Fedor and Nelson. Im not a Lutter fan, but his jits is world class.

Belfort has the best chance because of him having the match signed and sealed. I mean would Andy Wang sign a contract to fight Fedor he would have a bigger chance of winning against Fedor than Josh Barnett.

Might sound strange I know, but I think like this, maybe it's just me.

Ha that's a good perspective, I never thought of that.

Maybe that's how Carwin became the #5 HW after beating an unranked Gonzaga? He was next in line to fight the #2, so that gives him a bigger chance of climbing ranks than the other guys?

Gegard Mousasi is 24 yrs old he will eventually join the UFC, you can quote me on that.In about 2 yrs he will be unstoppable and already surpassing Silva. Right now would be the best time for AS to face him if he wants to win.
