I dont think this fight will be as one sided as everyone else seems to believe. Hardy is a very good striker, he has shown that in his last two fights. He trains his bjj with Eddie Bravo, so he should at least know what he is doing on the ground. He is also a pretty big welterweight, that could help him in this fight. That being said, i wouldnt bet a dollar on him to win, im just saying that he has as good of a chance as GSP's last couple of opponents have had.

Hardy is NOWHERE near the level of Alves or Fitch, c'mon. And they got tooled.

I think his striking is better then both. He outstruck Davis and Swick, two of the better strikers in the division.

I thought Matt Hughes was fighting Renzo Gracie? And when did they announce Trigg vs Serra? I must have missed that one.

Yeah, going to see him in a few weeks. He's coming to Melbourne. Axwell and Fedde le Grand will be there too.

Nice. I saw him live in LA last year on Halloween.

Disagree. Hardy is an unknown to most of us. We have no idea of his limits yet. There's no evidence that Hardy wouldn't beat Fitch or Alves. To say he nowhere near them is a bit extreme considering the guy has been in ZERO trouble since coming to the UFC.
GSP will probably win... but on what ive seen of Hardy, especially pre-UFC... man, he is a tough son of a bitch who is really difficult to damage or submit off his back, hits VERY hard and has a granite chin. Yes, I know this all points towards another Fitch type 5 round beat down, but Hardy hits harder and better than Fitch. He could knock GSP out at any second. 25 minutes is a long time...

Agree with most of what you're saying there, swick has got some serious power and he got his hands on Hardy a few times and it didn't seem to phase Dan at all. Hardy also comes across as a real cocky punk (rocker) kinda guy y'know i don't think he would get overwhelmed and intimidated the way Alves seemed to be... i think he's really gonna let his hands go. Having said that GSP is GSP so he could end up putting Dan on his a$$ with takedown after takedown but i'm not dismissing Hardy so quickly.

This will be a fun fight.
GSP will most likely win, been there, done that, but it'll be fun. We all know what would happen in Fitch vs. GSP 2, so why not test new waters with Hardy?
Rest of the card is decent as well.
