I actually agree with the thread starter. the events have been quite lackluster lately and a lot of people feel the same way, maybe not on this forum though. Its going to hurt UFC in the long run if they keep putting out garbage events. UFC cards are usually special and something to look forward to. As it is now they put them on every few weeks but the quality is just not there. A lot of the bars I frequent for PPV's have seen a drop in attendance, so i'm not just making this up.

Bars and restaruants will buy every single one of them and people will always go out and buy a beer and watch the fight for $2. Its going to happen and as long as that keeps the revenue flowing in, the UFC wont stop.

There aren't too many shows, you get one big fight on a card if you are lucky in boxing the UFC has put on half a dozen stacked cards this year and the lack of legitimate main events is due to the run of stacked cards through 101, free shows, and injuries. 106 was a very strong card also just because there isn't a title fight doesn't mean it isn't worth watching.

I haven't had any problems with the events. Yeah, there haven't been any stacked cards like UFC 92, but the fights are all pretty good matchups. I'm an MMA fan through and through. Even a mediocre card, on paper at least, will still get my money because I simply like watching MMA.

Plus, we have seen mediocre cards put on top notch fights. Check out Ultimate Fight Night 10.
