Why did Chuck Liddell never get a title shot against Tito?
Tito defended his title 5 times against some nobodies and then ken shamrock, why was Chuck never given a shot against despite being more than qualified and also able of doing Dana a favor by beating titos brains out?

Tito stated they were great friends, and he didn't want to 'do damage' on his friend. He also said he never ducked Chuck, and that they had a long standing agreement never to fight.
Chuck disagree's with it and says they were aquaintances at best and no agreement existed.
Watch UFC 47, commentary and 'hype' explain alot of it.

And also in Chuck's book he goes into some detail about how Tito ducked him. Especially after they sparred and Chuck proceeded to beat his ass. Needless to say Tito didn't like that. I believe Chuck over Tito's egotistical ass any day...

We should be grateful. The world was never meant to see Tito's head all bulgy and misshapen from a brutal Chuck beatdown.

According to Chuck's book Dana said he was next in line, but wanted him to wait for Tito to fight Ken Shamrock so he'd be next in line. Chuck didn't want to wait around so he fought Babalu at the same PPV as the Tito Ken fight and this was supposed to lead into Tito vs. Chuck, but Tito kept putting it off, so to stay fresh Chuck accepted a fight against Couture, and Couture won, which pushed Chuck out of the title picture. Couture went on to beat Tito to win the title, then Chuck went on to beat Overeem and lose to Rampage. Then Tito started to call Chuck out and finally they fought.

They did end up fighting, and yes it was quite the beat down. Not as good as when Couture spanked Tito though, haha.
