Im not going to be in this thread much because i know the BJ fans are overzealous and take everything personal much like BJ himself.
I think Sanchez is the next champion, that is all.

I believe Diego's only chance was the questionable cardio of BJ. This is not an issue for BJ anymore, his conditioning and cardio is just fine.
I've generally always said a BJ Penn conditioned to fight 5 rounds will destroy any LW in a title fight.
I just see no advantages that Diego has over BJ.
BJ - Boxing, chin, BJJ, takedown D,
Diego - Weird factor.
I won't even say Diego has a punchers chance since BJ's chin is up there with Cabbbage's chin. BJ by rear-naked round 3.

Not to mention, Diego has no KO power, especially at LW. That combined with BJ's crazy chin = no chance for the weirdo.

I don't think he has to knock BJ out. If he can get initative(sp?), and dictate the direction of the fight then I think he could have a good chance to get the decision. I don't see Diego finishing BJ in anyway and believe the only way he'll win is by decision. The only way I see BJ winning is either by decision or by sub, I don't think BJ can knock Diego out.

Diego not having a chance? Hell I got him winning this one. I imagine I will bet a good 50000 credits or so.

Diego isnt as talented as BJ, but what Diego does have is an amazing heart and chin. I believe this fight could be a cracker with diego winning in the 5th to a TKO. I think BJ will wear down later in the fight after dominating the early going. Call me stupid but trust me Diego is going to be the lightweight champion of the world with BJ going out of the sport.

BJ had greatcardio in his last fight with Flo but it is not his history. If he comes in the same shape he is probably gonna win but I wouldn't bet my money on it unless I knew for sure.

I have TONS of respect for both of these fighters, i wouldnt say Diego is better then Penn at anything but his mind. Diego TRULY believes he is the best like any fighter should but this kid takes it to a new level, with his convidence and his stand up and strikes, he might catch BJ... That said if BJ can smash Sean Sherk in stand up i dont see Diego being able to do much, and if Penn and RNC Kenny Florian then i dont see Diego doing much on the ground. But one thing is for sure, DIEGO WILL BRING IT! And bring it HARD, i exspect to see Diego going in there like he has 10 seconds left on the clock and throwing kicks and haymakers, and i an see BJ either getting into it as well and striking back because of his convidence or taking him down FAST because he doesnt want to exchange or fight in that pace. Ether way BJ wins but also ether way were most likely going to see the FIght Of The Year, my last top fight was Diego vs Guida, now Diego vs Penn, makes me wet myself.... OH GOD!
