Fallen out of love with the UFC
Is it just me or has anyone else fallen out of love with the UFC lately? I don't know if it's just a hangover from the Shogun decision or the lack of big name fights recently, but I seem to be the least interested in it I've been for quite some time. And it's not that I'm not pumped about MMA as a whole, I was more excited for WEC 44 and Strikeforce than the last 2 ufcs of the next 2 (aside from the Penn fight). I'm sure it's jus a slump, but anyone else feeling this?

It's just you. You don't need big names on a card to see great fights.

I've been in a slump for a while now. I haven't gone out of my way to see the PPV's, and when I watch the fights later or read about them, it appears I'm not missing much.
I've always wanted more fights then 1 ppv / mo., but there is sucha thing as too much of a good thing. We've been flooded with PPV's and free events and TUF and WEC and Saturday Night Fights, all in one month, and all at 3+ hours a pop.
Add the stresses of the economy and the upcoming holidays, and it's been a little much. I'd say we're just burned out right now.

I thought I was the only one but feel exactly like the OP and it started after the Shogun fight too. That decision left a real bad taste in my mouth. Anyways, I've purchased pretty much all the PPVs for the last three years but I haven't the last two. I know I'll come back next year I just need a break for now, the holidays are expensive too.

You might feel like that because there werent any true main events, The last couple PPVs, people pulled out because of injuried and sickness.

The Shogun vs. Machida fight was one of the greatest fights this year. I really enjoyed watching every second! I can only say Thank you UFC for putting up such an outstanding 5 Round battle.

the last UFC I "HAD" to see was UFC 100, though I am excited to see Penn's fight coming up. This past card (UFC 106) would have been an amazing card if not for Lesnar's medical issues and Karo's prescription pills issues. I would have "HAD" to see this last card had it not fallen apart.

If I actually bought each PPV I might feel the same way but I watch the events for free so I am plenty happy with them.

UFC 107 should make up for it. Imo 107 is stacked hardcore.
