I was more so attacking your ignorant "Anderson needs to learn English comments"

I think if Anderson really wanted to have a huge cult following in America, he would learn English, do a rap with Snoop Dog, talk shit about his opponent pre fight, flip off UFC sponsors and generally do more outlandish things to get himself in the headlines.

However he does none of the above, he comes he fights, he kicks the shit out of everyone, dances around in the ring a bit, then post fight he is respectful to his opponent. He upholds a good image for the sport and seems to be a friendly guy. I don't think he cares that he lacks PPV buys he is in the tail end of his career now, almost everything has been accomplished. He is such a good fighter that he doesn't need to talk shit in the media to gain hype, it just happens when people watch him fight.
Great two posts, and I repped a lot of people today so whenever I can I'll rep you tomorrow. But I recommend putting this dude on ignore. He's simply ignorant and extremely narrow minded, and starting to look like a troll trying to stir shit up. Not worth my thoughts if you ask me.

Also he doesn't seem like a friendly guy he seems like a type of guy that treats his fans like crap and simply doesn't care.

I think he's a total fraud and his act is just that, an act.I feel the same about Shane carwin.
Thats nice, thanks for addressing that single point and ignoring the other issues I raised with you.

I think Anderson Silva is incredibly popular within the fight industry. I don't think you will find a single fighter, promoter, trainer or organizer who does think Silva rocks. However, when talking about fans ( much as i dont want to admit ) jcc78 has a point. In every conversation I've had with any reasonably noobie fan, the conversation never goes to Silva. If I bring him up, I get a Meh. As much as I would like to believe most fans know a thing or two about MMA... 90% don't.

Of course, on a forum like this where the majority of the posters know their shit, saying something along the lines of "Silva isn't very popular" ( in any context ) is being more than a little bit naughty and provocative! The response is bound to be sharp!

@jcc78
Your views, the way you present them, and your avatar... man, it's perfect! I really don't mean that in a bad way. I just hant help but hear Nixon telling me I'm talking crap. I like it! Sometimes more enjoyable than polite opinion exchanges.
