Brock Larson Cut By UFC
Following his UFC 106 loss to heavy underdog Brian Foster, welterweight Brock Larson will now be looking for a new promotion in which to showcase his skills. The Veteran fighter confirmed with MMAJunkie that he was cut by organization following the November 21 loss.
Larson has gone 3-3 in his UFC career, and 2-2 most recently after being brought in from the WEC following the dissolution of their welterweight division. Larson started off his most recent UFC stint with consecutive wins over Jesse Sanders and Mike Pyle. However, he lost his next to fights against Mike Pierce and on Saturday Brian Foster. Following precedent, the UFC cut the fighter following his two consecutive losses.
In speaking with MMAJunkie, Larson blamed a lack of motivation due to being scheduled in undercard fights for his recent lackluster performances.

I don't get the unmotivation at all. Start winning again and you're on the main card. Being on the preliminary is still in the UFC, should be motivation enough, especially with Spike tv. Wonder how he'll motivate himself in his next org.?

Change the title, god damn. Seriously, what it really that hard to think that someone might think this was Brock Lesnar?

Kinda surprised by this, but hey, if he doesn't want the fights he's getting, there are plenty of guys who will take them.

He was decent, but no where near good enough to keep up in a division that stacked.

Yeah because a 26-4 record with 18 submissions and 5 (T)KO's defines a LNP artist, and of his 3 remaining wins one was via DQ of his opponent, so he has only won a decision twice.

I was surprised how poor Larson was TBH, i used to think this guy would be a top 5 WW no problem but ever since he came to the UFC he has been awful. I think the UFC left it too late and he is past his prime now.

Larson has occasionally showed tenacity and glimpses of greatness but has spent a career being very underwhelming.
