He has the potential to be so powerful and fast but these weight cuts are killing him. Being bigger than your opponent means nothing if you are so dehydrated and weak that you can hardly stand up. I say he moves up to 185 and fights when he's actually coherent, even at 185 he has the perfect body type to dominate. Watching him fight kos was so pathetic, he had so little energy he never really exploded like someone with that much muscle should be able to do.

Maybe if that dummy would focus way more on fighting skills and way less on cutting a thousand pounds before a fight, he could actually get somewhere in a division.

Good build, good reach, athletic, I don't see why he puts SO much effort into this cutting nonsense.

I voted 185 because I'm so sick of cutting and weight issues weakening fighters, and possibly shortening their careers in some cases.

I think his first priority should be for he and his camp to stop making excuses for why he lost to a better fighter and work on developing some sort of ground game instead of trying to explain away his loss to Koscheck. That being said, I think he should stay at welterweight as long as he can. When he moves up to middleweight he wont have the huge size and strength advantage that he has over most guys at welterweight. He should stay at welterweight while he develops his game and wait to move up until he becomes a little more well rounded. He would get eaten alive by guys like Franklin, Nate, Sonnen, Silva, Okami, Belcher, BIsping, and Hendo (if he comes back). Those guys are all good sized and well rounded.

It's not good for his health to do this massive cuts.
I think he would feel more comfortable at 185.
