I have been to 2 events, Couture vs Gonzaga and BJ Penn vs Sean Sherk. I paid for the $300 range tickets and both times I had the time of my life. The crowds are intense and make you even more psyched up for a fight. There are somethings that you miss, like the clock so you have to look up at the screens to see how much time there is, and sometimes they can hit the ground in a weird spot so you use the screen again, but otherwise the view was awesome. Rogan often talks about how loud it is and you don't hear it through the TV too well, but live it is deafening. When Couture beat Gonzaga and stood up with his arms raised I couldn't hear my wife next to me cheering, it was insane.

Prices for tickets and items at the show are expensive, but both times they have been more than worth the money I paid for the memory of being there live.

Went to UFC 83 in Montreal, what an event...

In our coordinated efforts to buy tickets on the members upfront sales day our group ened up with 12 tickets in two blocks of 6, all excellent seats. We sold 6 tix on Ebay for a very healthy profit which paid for the tix we used plus all our hotel food and gas.

It was a great weekend in Montreal thanks to some guy from BC!

Been to 5 UFCs, 75,80,85,93 and 99.

The view of the fights aren't that great anywhere in the arena really. You mostly end up watching the big screens. But the atmosphere is what its all about. 93 had the best atmosphere of any live event I've ever been to, it was amazing.

I've been to UFC 97 in Montreal, I got 2 $400 tickets on ebay for half the prize. And yes I screamed "bullshit!" at the end of the Silva-Leites fight.

Hey mate, im from Australia too and i went to UFN 17 in Florida. I paid US$150 for a ticket for about mid tier seats. The view was good and i enjoyed it a lot.

The main problem we will have in Sydney is that we will be competing with the whole of Australia and New Zealand for tickets to the event. Acer arena is bigger than the Sun Dome in Florida but it will probably hold a maximum of 20k seats and i mean max. Thats not a lot when every MMA fan in Oz will be looking for seats!

Went to the last 2 shows in Montreal. GSP vs Serra and Silva vs Leites. Paid about $230 Canadian for pretty much the sames seats both times. About 15 rows from the floor in the Bell Center (NHL Stadium). Really good seats. Massive video screens all over the place as well. Ditto with Burg, I'll be there again for the May show. One of the coolest events, if not the coolest, I've ever been to. Especially GSP kicking Serra's @ss in front of his home town. The place was MAD that night.

P.S. Don't miss the weigh-in if you get a chance to go!!

I've been to 2, most recently, 101 in Philly (Silva/Griffin). I'm not a forrest fan but man did that place go nuts when he entered.

I'd go just for the experience (when do you think the next time UFC will come to Austrellia?)

You could probably get a cheap ticket for about $50 - $75. I'd stick to the $300+ tickets. If you're not in the first level, you'll be watching the screen the enitre time. If that's the case, it's worth staying at home and spending the $50 on the PPV.
