First of all Fedor already beat Cro-cop.

The whole reason Cro-Cop was brought to the UFC was to add some credibility to the HW division. He does'nt have to pay his dues with this bunch, you'll realize that very soon my friend. They'll give him a warmup fight first, then a shot at the winner of Sylvia vs Vera.

To the guy who said the USA fans will disrespect Cro-Cop, maybe for 1 fight. He will be a fan favorite after 2 fights, his english is good = marketable.

Here's to Christmas, The New Year and Cro-Cop saving the UFC HW division

Better for some of the UFC heavies to get to know Crocop.

So let Crocop fight a couple or 3 heavies before he takes the belt away.

This is the problem with the way MMA currently works, people start to think that fighters don't deserve title shots just because those fighters haven't been in a certain organization long enough. Whether he's fighting for the Pride belt or the UFC belt, CC has earned it and more. There is really no point in him fighting scrubs.

It builds up the hype more when you see him destroy all the other heavyweights to get to Sylvia.

It makes the fight that much more exciting and profitable.

Just sayin.

Their is a lot of UFC fans that don't know him.(Crocop)

He should fight a couple of heavies that are known in UFC that are worthy opponents. So when he gets his title shot ppl will know him more.

i think u guys r underestimating the USA fan base. We live in the age of youtube, google and satalite TV, you can order or watch everything from old UFC's to No rules Vale Tudo in Brazil, on the net. The majority of the people that order the PPV's know about Cro-Cop. the first time I saw Cro-Cop was 5 years ago on the internet, believe me he is a big enough name in MMA that even casual fans know him.

Give him a title shot ASAP, he deserves it.

Hardcore fans will know him. Newer fans won't. Case in point, when Silva came over alot of UFC fans didn't have a clue that he was actually ranked ahead of Fraklin as a MW in most MMA ranking systems.

I think from a financial standpoint, hype is always good and for this reason you give hima couple of fights before a shot. Builds audience up around his fights - once he's a dominant champion the excitement decreases. I for one am not all that excited about Saturday's title fight because I'm pretty sure Chuck's going to take it quickly. The Hughes/Pierre fight where we new they were both very good was exciting because the outcome was unsure. Cro Cop becomes champ in his first fight and the excitement and alure decreases.

my 2 cents

You can't base how a sport runs due to people who don't have a clue about it, surely?

I agree he shouldn't get a title shot straight away, maybe a couple of warm up fights. But that said, I'm not 100% sure about how boxing (the biggest orgnanised combat sport) works but it's quite common to unify belts and stuff which makes it looks like it should work, giving both organizations work with each other.
In this case though, there's no need for them to work together cause he's just moving from one to another.
So considering he's already proved himself more than enough, he should be given it either that or only 1 warm up.

I waffled a bit there & changed my mind half way through that post but you see what my thinking was
