Looking into the crystal ball for Chuck Liddell

I know this is getting ahead of ourselves considering what it entails,

but I listened to a recent Chuck Liddell interview over on Sherdog's Beatdown and they asked him about Rampage and I began thinking about the differences between Chuck and Tito.

I respect and admire both guys but I feel Chuck has fought better and dominated more the opponents he's fought (i.e. fought and beaten bigger names rather than more decisions and losing to bigger names)

With that said, do you think Chuck will go up to heavyweight after he has his Rampage rematch, win or lose?

Or will he try to go down as the best LHW ever if he can A. beat Tito again B. then avenge his loss to Rampage making his record stellar by beating or avenging everyone he's ever faced C. then finally leaving UFC to fight Wandy just to finish it all off.

I could see him doing that... Staying in the UFC for another year, beating Tito, then Rampage, then leaving to silence everyone by fighting Wand, then retiring.

OR...

We'll see him win or lose to Rampage (sorry Tito) and then moving up to HW where by then we'll see CroCop as HW champ and then we'll get to see a Chuck vs. CroCop slugfest... Chuck could move up fairly easy and Cro Cop isn't that HUGE at HW, and since they are both devastating strikers it would at least be entertaining if not an all-out war.

Any comments anyone? or:thumbsdown:

i dont see him moving up i just see him trying to establish himself as the best LHW in the world period he's got quite a few fights that could happen at LHW not to mention at HW cro cop would make short work of him

I do think Cro Cop would beat him, but I think it'd be a better match than people think. Chuck is so unorthodox and does have alot of kickboxing experience prior to the UFC so I don't think CroCops kickboxing style would be as devastating as people think against an awkward back pedalling heavy striker like Chuck.

As far as Chuck staying in the LHW... that's what I'm saying, he'd be one of the most dominant ever. He's fought just about everybody he can that is any good.

If he beats Tito again and then manages to beat Rampage, all that's left for him is to keep beating the up and comers until he gets over the hill and get's surprised by somebody or ends up retiring in about 2 years (4 more matches I think... he likes to fight only 2 times a year it seems,) so I think we'll see 1. Tito then 2. Rampage then 3. Griffin then maybe, maybe 4. Evans
