Question for those who have attended a Live UFC event

Hey all,

I will be going to UFC 110 in Sydney, Australia and need to know how long the wait is between when the show starts (intro + Prelims) to when the actual main card starts.

The reason for needing to know is I have already booked flights to another city (Perth) for a music festival on Saturday 20th Feb. The UFC show is on in Sydney (other side of the country!) Sunday 21st Feb.

I can either fly out of Perth Saturday night @ 11pm and arrive in Sydney @ 6pm or fly out of Perth at 6am Sunday and arrive in Sydney @ 1pm. My prefered option is to fly out of Perth on Sunday morning.

The UFC has the Sydney start time as 12pm. I need to know how long after 12pm the main card will begin.

Sorry for the long post...I am desperate to get to Sydney and see the UFC and am just trying to work out the best way of doing it.

Thanks man, I figured it would be 2 hours or so between when the prelims start and the PPV action begins.

Really keen to hear from as many people as possible so I can get a good idea if this is normal or not.

Thanks in advance.

I think you meant fly out of Perth on Saturday @ 11 PM and arrive at 6 AM Sunday?

As for your question I just looked at the UFC website and am pretty sure that 12 PM time is when the PPV starts meaning that is when the main card is. That would mean the preliminaries start at probably 9-9:30 AM.

My bad, you are correct. I meant am, not pm for the arrival time

If the PPV starts at 12pm (Sydney time) then I am ****ed, It means I will have to fly out of Perth Saturday night @ 11pm and arrive in Sydney @ 6am Sunday 21st Feb. This also means I miss the main acts for Good Vibrations (the music festival I am going to).

If the prelims start @ 12pm I can fly out of Perth @ 6am Sunday 21st Feb(which means not missing any of the music acts) and arrive in Sydney @ 1pm, this should give me an hour or so to get to Acer Arena in time for the main card (PPV part of UFC 110).

I am pretty sure the prelims start @ 12pm Sydney time, I will have to confirm this because if you are right and the PPV starts @ 12pm I need to fly in the night before.

I suck at time conversions but just saw the following which leads me to thinking you may be correct.

Sydney, Australia, is 16 hours ahead of Eastern Time and 13 hours ahead of Pacific Time in the U.S. If UFC 110 airs live in the UFC's traditional 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT) PPV time slot, the main card must begin in Sydney on Sunday at 2 p.m. local time.
Looks like you could just make it.
