Dos Santos vs. Gilbert Yvel at UFC 108

Junior dos Santos has an opponent to UFC 108. According to his boxing coach, Luis Dorea, the Brazilian heavyweight faces former Pride fighter Gilbert Yvel, who comes from an devastating knockout victory over Pedro Rizzo.

“’Cigano’ is a young guy, a great talent”, Dorea said, betting on his pupil. “We know Gilbert is a very strong guy, he like to fight standing, but ‘Cigano’ is better in striking now, we’re doing our job and I know we’re gonna get the victory”, finished the coach. Cool for Yvel to be starring in a show seen by a lot of the US - he's always pretty exciting (especially while getting beat the hell up by Barnett! )

IMO this is still a stepdown in competition for JDS. I don't get, Nog drops out of Cain vs Nog and GG drops out of JDS vs GG... so what does the UFC do?

JDS needs to finally derail the Valesquez hype train!

Rep me. For I am your king.

Should be an entertaining fight. Great debut for Yvel, and a solid test for Junior. Looking forward to it!

I was wondering wtf was gonna happen to UFC 108, Yvel got top 10 talent, plus fun to watch. However, JDS should have it, striking is up there with Yvel's, plus he's a more well rounded fighter. JDS is dangerous right now entering the prime of his career.
I honestly like him over Carwin, and probaly everyone else besides Brock and Fedor. Idk bout a matchup with Cain though, I think he should be ranked higher, but have a hard time thinking he could withstand Cain's wrestling.

Another fight, another win for Junior. Dos Santos will crush Yvel, there's no doubt about it.

Favorite fighters:
1. Badr Hari
2. Remy Bonjasky
3. Mauricio Rua
4. Anderson Silva
5. Alistair Overeem
