I really dont know why everyones saying if Tito wins its better for the UFC and it will shake up the LHW division.. i mean my friends are newer fans and some have already said if Tito wins they are gonna start watching Pride only cause they hate Tito Ortiz. I've seen this alot too, even me..I wouldn't stop watching UFC but id probably be no longer interested in the LHW division just because a guy i dislike alot is champion, im like that..sore sport but thats me.

Also, basically every new fan is a fan of Chucks because hes the poster boy of the UFC, him winning is what the majority wants and i just dont know why having Tito win would be better..if he did alot of fans would be pissed that day.

Only thing it would do is create a nice rubber match bringing in money which i dont want because i dont want Tito being able to say "I beat Chuck Liddell once"

Chuck is great at some things and poor at somethings. Tito is great at some things and poor at somethings. But change is always good. Who wants to see the same guy win time after time. Here is a little break down of the two:

Chuck:
Great striker
Great counter striker
Great take down defense
Poor ground game
Poor charisma
Poor entertainment factor (watch him fight is like watching paint dry, when he fights it is time to get a drink from kitchen)
He is a safe champion but not highly marketable.

Tito:
Great takedowns
Agrressive
Average stand up
Insane ground & pound
Great endurance
Great charisma
Great entertainment factor (love or hate, cheer or boo him you watch him)
Has a huge potential from a marketing point of view.

Both are great fighters and guys. People have to keep in mind it is a business (UFC). It is about who is the best but also about who makes money for UFC. The best fighter is not always the best money maker. I am not saying UFC is fixed or anything, I am just saying have Tito as the champ would make UFC very happy.

Your friends hate Tito? Great! Next time he fights you will watch to see him lose hopefully.

The last thing UFC wants is complicity in its shows, PPV and champions. Entertainment, controversy and T&A make money. (hehe with Tito he provides the first two and Jenna provides the last. hehe)

I am convinced Tito is here just o make himself famous and thats it. Chuck Liddell can just make him more famous !! Either wey they are both great fighters, I have no idea who is going to win, I just hope for a war that ends with 30 seconds left in the 5th by either KO or TKO. THEN I want to see Mirko cut to 205 and fight Chuck Liddell, whether he beats Tito or not, now THAT would be a good fight.

I hope it does not go to the judges. I hate judges discisions and so do the fighters. Fighters always want to decide the match between themselves.

I've never really seen a boring show from Chuck, it starts slow but the finish is always worth the while..and i dont know how you think Tito is an exciting fighter, he can only create excitement from beating up an old guy (Ken Shamrock) most of his fights end in unanimous decision which are from a boring show of him being on top of a guy..throwing an elbow a few times every 10 seconds to keep busy, i like to leave the room and come back 5 minutes later to see the same thing again...fact is, hes a much more boring fighter in my honest opinion.

Only recent fight of his that is good was against Forrest Griffin and he was injured, wow he does better injured than he does at 100% and well actually, thats because Forrest was pushing the pace as well.

They (Chuck & Tito) do have very different styles but that is a great thing. If you wanted to see to guys just stand up and throw strikes a person should watch boxing. Their differt styles is the good part. The fact you don't like Tito (and I don't like Chuck's) is all cool, thats our personal choice no problem.

But just to comment about Tito fight's ending in unanimous decisions by the judges. Here are both Tito's and Chuck's records in UFC that have ended with judges:

Tito 18 fights and 6 decisions, meaning 33% fights are decided by the judges.

Chuck 17 fights and 5 decisions, meaning 29% fights are decided by the judges.

Not much difference between the two fighters really.

I like aggressive fighters, attacking, pushing the pace. Chuck does not do that, he is a counter puncher, thats what counter punchers do. They can be effective but just a little boring to watch IMO.

But to each thier own. lets just hope it is a good fight period.

Well yeah im definitely hoping its a good fight. Hopefully better than when Chuck fought Babalu, im sure Titos alot smarter than that, heh.

About the decisions, im talking about as of late..you cant count the Shamrock wins really because the fights shouldnt have happened in the first place, the first fight they had in 2002 was great and they should have ended it there. Ken just cant let things go. No offence to the legend but to think he could defeat a good GNP fighter like Tito Ortiz in his prime at his age. Kind of makes for a sad ending to his great career in MMA.

Should have retired after beating Kimo at UFC 48. =/
