Meh he had time after TUF to work on his stand up offense and defence and he still lost pretty much the same way he did to shaub. I think his fighting career is over.

He said he did not focus on his stand up because he was still working on his ground game. He just looks inexperianced, he should take six months off and just work, then come back. He has a lot of upside I cant write a rookie off because of one fight.

I have just never understood how someone cannot grasp the simpliest things about striking. Keep your hands up, throw straiht punches, elbows in, chin down. Its not like Mittrione has great stand up or is one of those guys that just rushes in and overwhelms his opponents. I just dont get how someone with access to good trainers can have that bad of stand up. It seems like someone who has a good ground game like Jones should be able to at least learn the little things about stand up that will keep you from getting your head knocked off against second rate strikers.

I do really like the guy. He's great on the ground but doesn't seem to know what to do when he gets the guy on the ground and in trouble. He's not good on his feet, but he said as of 2 years ago, he could not throw a punch. I hope he sticks with it because he does need work and has the potential to be scary with that BJJ he has. Keep going Marcus, you need work but you can be a force in the HW division.

I really like the guy (especially being a buccaneers fan ), and really hope he can develop a standup game. His groung game is decent (possibly pretty good), and he seems to have a ton of power. I hope he can recover and come back, but considering his age, I don't expect much.

I really liked this guy. He was a really cool and caring dude. I wish he would improve his stand up. He already has size, strength, power, and a good ground game. He has potential if he would just work on what needs improvement. It sucked watching him go down twice.

If he want's to stay healhty and be there for his family, then he should stop fighting! He's is already 36 years old, i don't see any future for him in this Sport!

I dont know what the appeal is to be frank I liked him on the show until the schuab match where I realized that his chin is as soft as cotton, his standup is non existent and he isnt as proficient in his ground work as everyone is making out..With his size and i'm assuming he has stregth he should be holding smaller fighters down but he canyt hold these prospects down to save his life..Mitrione and schuab were escaping his clutches with ease and theses arent even good enough to become ufc gatekeepers

To Live is 2 suffer, 2 survive? well that is 2 find meaning in the suffering

No not all! But let's be honest you can't start to through youre first punch 2 years ago. And then suddenly wanna compete against UFC fighters. This is just an impossible thing to do!
