Roy Nelson looking a little slimmer?
Is it just the mushrooms I injested earlier, or did Roy Nelsons gut look a little slimmer during the weigh ins?
Don't get me wrong, it's still one hell of a gut, but it looked to me like hes tryin to trim it down a bit.
I will send some rep to whoever posts a side by side of his gut during the show and his gut at the weigh ins. It should be close up shots for good measure.

I thought he looked like he shed more than a few pounds to, he looked closer to Ben Rothwell shape then he did the typical Nelson IMO.

Probably had something other stuff to do than just eat as he did in the house. Probably also worked with a training camp he liked and listened to.

Has Nelson ever went to a camp, for along time now he has self trained, if Roy got with a serious camp he would be one hell of a menace to the HW division.

I dont know why, but most of these fighters in this season dont seem that big, they look like they belong in the LHW division.

I was curious about this so I looked it up on his twitter and he said he has been training at his house, at MMA Glory in Las Vegas as well as vising a bunch of other gyms in the area.

As compared to what? The last TUF show with HW's was full of tiny guys too, Rashad Evans for example. This show had plenty of guys who would have a lot of trouble making LHW imho.

From the picture posted he did look a little thinner but he was still 263 so he couldn't have lost that much weight.

Didn't see the weigh-in, but muscle weighs a lot more than fat per cubic inch. So theoretically he could have converted some of the gut into muscle and remained around the same weight. |
