IMO Houston clearly won the 1st and 3rd rounds.
Kimbo seemed to want to take the easy option by using his size advantage ( claimed 212 pounds to 208 but it was a sh*tload more than that ) to LnP. What a f*cking bitch!
Coupled with the announcement that Chuck and Tito are the next TUF coaches It seems the UFC is becoming a farce.

I think the 1st round was a toss up, and really Houston was avoiding more than anything.....

haha what did Kimbo do? what did Houston do besides throw a few good leg kicks and PLENTY of weak ones. You had Kimbo trying to engage the fight for ALL THREE rounds, and Houston running away throwing leg kicks that wouldnt hurt a 15 year old, He had maybe 4 good kicks including the one where Kimbo landed on his ass.

well yea, the first round was one of the weirdest ones I have ever watched, just trying to say to all these people who think Alexander got ripped off a victory, that he didnt do much to earn one while Kimbo was trying to make something out of it.

Yeah thats what would make me lean towards him, BUT remember the judges are looking where and what is landed...LOL...which wasnt much.

Def Kimbo won the 2nd and 3rd and they were ugly although the 2nd was his best looking stuff....

He's will never come close to a belt...he's kinda the UFC freak fighter, I bet they have him fight James Irvin......watch....

kimbos is actually an alright fighter...infact out of everyone who fought roy nelson on tuf.. he came the closest to winning because he hit roy hard and almost rocked him... if roy couldnt take kimbo down .kimbo would have won..and that says alot since roy knocked schaub out

The ref told them a couple of times to ramp it up. What happened to, "next one that takes a step back, I'm taking away a point?"

I love a good slugfest as much as the next guy but i also like both the Techinical and Tactical sides of fighting.

Houston fought a smart fight, if they were to bang it was fifty fifty chance of one dropping. plus Kimbo was bigger...

But he kept his distance and tried to take him out of his leg, it was working but Kimbo shooting in for the takedown screwed him. He got tired struggling in the ground and lost time he could have been working on that leg. In the end he dropped him but he wasn't able to capitalize.

I enjoyed this fight a lot, it had its moment of brawling action, some ground and pound, and had the nice story to it of Kimbo finally making it to the UFC.

Plus that slam was sick, infinite rep to anyone who sends me a gif of it.
Funny, I was thinking that a .gif of Kimbo literally pounding the ground while mounted on HA during his so called "ground and pound" would have served well as a .gif. What a schmuck

Whoever it was that said that slam was sick, I agree.
I dunno. It really was a weird fight at the start especially. I mean it took two minutes before anyone threw a punch. I get that there was a strategy of taking out the leg involved, but he really should have went for that kick a little more often instead of circling around.
That brings me to another point. Whoever said Kimbo had a bigger weight advantage than it said on the stats, look at that man's legs (no homo). I don't think anyone's mentioned this so far, but that guy has some skinny freaking legs. Especially when compared to his massive upper body. Even if I didn't know he was having knee troubles, I would have went for the legs. Take away his base and he's pretty stranded. At least that's my opinion. Any thoughts?

On an unrelated note, is this guy SUPPOSED to look like he's jerking off? I just found it really distracting as I was typing this.

Lolz. I was actually hoping for that also.

Bad fight. Both showed they are average Mixed Martial Artists that, whilst I like both guys and they have been exciting in the past(Kimbos personality grew on me, he seems a humble decent fella, and Houstons just Mr Moral man with his daughter etc) the fight was essentially, embarassing for the UFCs 'Elite' standards.

The striking was average at best, and normally in MMA, a lack of stand up is balanced by a high level ground game. Unfortunatly this isn't the case with either guys. They have power, and a name to draw in the casual fan. That, imo is not reason enough for them to be fighting in the UFC.
