A silva has already been in pride and had an ok showing nothing spectacular.. bj did well in the lw division and im not so sure about sherk id like to see him fight a little more at the lw division.. vera i think would need to drop to 205 and then im not sure i want to see him fight someone thats at a higher level than a washed up mir.. tito might be able to do alright id like to see him fight arona

...but it is.

Really?

I prefer to watch UFC more than Pride, and by no means am I biased towards either organization. I think they are about equal in skill when comparing the top guys in pride vs the top guys in the ufc (mostly excluding the HW division in the ufc. I think only AA would do okay). But have you ever noticed that alot of the guys in pride had shitty stints in the UFC. Kevin Randleman after losing to top competition in the UFC (Chuck and Randy and Rutten), Frank Trigg(after being embarassed by Matt Hughes Twice), and Vitor Belfort after getting beaten by the top competition in the ufc (randy chuck, and tito).

Even Wandy (my favourite fighter in MMA) did bad in the UFC. He got absolutely destroyed by Belfort at UFC Brazil and Belfort has lost to top competition in the UFC. Wandy also lost to Tito in the octagon as well. Yet Wandy is a legend in Pride.

Now I realize there are arguments that people can make supporting Pride (mostly surrounding how Tim Sylvia would get raped by almost every HW. That's why i said except the HW division above), but in the end the two fight organizations are probably about equal today.

But soon enough when UFC baits Wandy and Cro Cop with enormous amounts of money (not sure if Cro Cop already signed or not) Pride will become diminished. And didn't Fedor already sign with Bodog?

Damn, maybe Pride will go down hill sooner rather than later.

Anyway just something to think about before you say that Pride is alot better than the UFC.

why does everyone that argues for ufc use fights that happened over 6 years ago it makes no sense.. im not biased towards either but people need to come up with better arguements than 6 years ago wandy lost to tito in the ufc?? and vitor is not doing that well in pride if you havent noticed.. randelman either i dont know why you are mentioning them what have they done over in pride ???

Well "You are a Clown" the reason I used fights from 6 years ago as my arguments is because those are the only commonalities between the UFC and PRIDE. You see most people base their opinions on guys like Cro Cop and Fedor who have not ever been in the UFC.

How can one base an opinion such as "Tim Sylvia would get raped by Crop Cop" (even though it could very well be true) on nothing but speculation. The fighters I chose to base my opinion have fought in both organizations.

Although it is old proof, it is still proof, where as saying a fighter such as Cro Cop would destroy all heavyweights (as many people believe) in the UFC is not proof, IT IS SPECULATION.

First of all I dont know how you can say an organization that was seeking investors to keep it going is a bigger more successful organization compared to the UFC which has the money to buy just about anything right now.
Pride has the Heavyweights, no doubt about it. Every other weight division however, I would give the advantage to the UFC for sure. However, as strange as this sounds, Overall I think PRIDE is a bit more exciting, simply because the fighters they do have make for exciting fights.
