Why would he have been cut ages ago? He is 8-2! And he's is 7-2 in the UFC! whether he is def or not he belongs in the UFC. He will never be the champ but he is a good fighter.

I hope Hamill fights again, and i see no reason to think he won't.

Also he definitely belongs in the UFC, his only losses were to Ace and the bs decision against Bisping. He was obviously about to lose the Jones fight but whatever Bones is a damn freak who would school 90% of the LHW division imho.

Hamill is a long ways from being cut from the UFC.

Hamill's record is now fair. He really has 2 losses. This win made up for the Bisping loss!

He'll just go back and train like a monster. I cannot see him being cut anytime soon, if ever.

Hamill should be fine. He's just following his usual career pattern -- pound a few bums in a row, play gatekeeper for a good fighter, get his ass kicked, pound a few more bums...

Next up, he'll get a few cupcakes and knock them out. Then maybe two or three fights from now he'll get his ass kicked again by another up-and-comer.

While Matt did get beat up he was showing some serious improvement in his stand up. He actually was throwing decent kicks and all of his punches were much more crisp and not some sloppy haymaker. He didn't just go for the clinch and dirty box or go for the takedown instantly(though he probably should have). He is improving fast.

That said Jones outclassed him and I think that was what everyone expected. Jones is a top tier fighter at that weight class in my opinion.

honestly one of the most overrated fighters out there with really bad game plans... ppl always laud his wrestling... who has he outwrestled that makes you think it's that high calibre?? His strikes are very slow and telegraphed and like i said above he often has the silliest game plans that cost him fights and i think he has a hard time adjusting during rounds because he cant hear his corner.

Flame away, but if he wasn't deaf he wouldnt have half the fanbase he has and would be on the road to getting cut in a few fights. I think we will see him again but i never see him beating a true quality opponent and plz dont waste our time with a rematch with Bones, the kid is on the rise.

Everyone has a bad day or two. He will learn from his mistakes. Hamill is going nowhere.

A bit harsh, init? He has only ever main evented one card and that was the last one that aired a couple of days ago. And lots of people, including people who aren't deaf, enjoy seeing Matt fight. He is a decent fighter and is good for sport in terms of encouraging more diabled people to pursue dreams and all that. Give him some credit, christ.

I don't think its a shame to "lose" to Bones, I think he's the real deal. I really don't think UFC will cut Hamil. Not only is he a class act and he's a heck of a fighter, PERIOD! I don't think we should for one second think that he got to the ufc because he is a good story, the man is a good fighter. His only losses has been to Rich Franklin, a former ufc champ and a split decision to Bisping in one of the most controversial wins ever. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have to worry about job security until he loses like 2-3 in a row.
