Well who knows, TUF might me somewhat setup. Remember a few weeks ago how it was said that they setup the Nelson vs Kimbo fight for better ratings. Clearly Roy didnt want that fight and wanted a easier route but that fight was kinda forced upon him which usually doesnt happen.

matchups are obviously "set up", they are picked by the promoters and signed off on by the fighters, but the fights themselves are overseen by NSAC officials just like all sanctioned fights in Nevada. TUF is no more "set up" than any other combat sport event.

the real setup comes later, during editing, where they choose which storylines to feature out of the thousands of hours of footage.

I'm fairly sure that drama in the house is at least heavily encouraged by the producers. That's why they wanted Rampage as a coach. They knew he would do stuff like painting the other team's room in pink. Imagine you're in a room with other guys who have nothing to do and there's a camera. Something is bound to happen. There's a link between the cameras being there and someone being a major douchebag.

Snipist has a little shameless behaviour in the past
dtwizzy there is a reason why the producers are the ones doing this show... its because they know what they are doing and they get paid for it they don't have to listen to anyone's oppinion but their own... and when it is said that people couldn't really win because it was staged... i am pretty sure thats why its called an UPSET

A lot of their champs and headliners are dealing with injuries which makes it hard to put on big fight cards.
However, last nights TUF finale was embarassing and the production quality was low. Dana White forgot what weight class the next TUF is, the sound was messed up during the Penn-Sanchez interview, Rogan and Goldberg are clowns that need to replaced at commentator, the TUF fighters are all terrible except for Nelson who is mediocre, and having Tito and Liddell coach the next TUF is also a joke.
The UFC needs to start acting more professional, upgrade their production quality, and looking for actual talented martial artists to put on TUF instead of tatted up talentless clowns who have minimal fighting abilities.
Add... Sanchez, Florian, Stevenson, Davis, Swick, Bisping, Hamill, Cote, Diaz, Sadollah, Escudero and Bader.

Thats a lot of good fighters from TUF. The "complete joke" is fans like you who complain because the UFC isn't made up of dozens of elite fighters across all divisions. As if these elite fighters somehow exist, floating around in the ether but the UFC are too stupid to sign them up.

But hey... ignore the long list of very decent fighters who have come out of TUF. Ignore the possibility that many of this seasons TUF fighters may well develop into excellent fighters. All that's secondary to poor sound editing and Dana forgetting his words. O dear. How terrible.

Fickle. Fickle. Fickle.
