If you see those words on a DVD cover consider it a warning that you should put it back on the shelf and walk away. Echavarria, accomplished Kickboxer and trainer, has gone into the movie business and has gotten the top UFC fighters, who happen to be friends or students of his, to appear in his films. Don't be blinded by the fact that his movies star some of the biggest names in the UFC like BJ Penn and Rampage.
Now I just rented two of his movies, Death Warrior and Never Surrender, and I just had to talk about it because these movies are so ridiculous. The impression that I got from these movies is Echavarrria must have a serious crush on himself. In Never Surrender, GSP was getting all tensed just by watching Hector’s fighter biography on the television. At first I thought he was going to fight him next but it turned out they were training partners. So is Hector trying to tell me that his very name strikes fear in all fighters, including his training partners? In both movies he plays this undefeated MMA star that somehow gets mixed up in this underground cage fights where these fighters actually get killed. Its all orchestrated by some over the top villains (played by Nick Mancuso and Patrick Kilpatrick) that uses women as sex toys for his fighters. Trust me when I say you will see Hector get down with a lot of women in these movies (Especially in Never Surrender). To top it all off he will completely pwn guys like Anderson Silva, GSP, and Rampage Jackson without too much difficulty. If that doesn’t say ego trip I don’t know what does.
The MMA fights were just horrendous in these movies. In Never Surrender, you will see a lot of jumping high kicks, somersault stomps to the body, fighters applying the arm bar on some guy for a few seconds but letting it go so they can beat the shit out of them some more and so on and so forth.
So like I said don't be blinded GSP, Rampage, BJ and Herring starring in these films. If you have to watch it rent it first. Don't waste $13.00 for them.

I watched never surrender when it came out and it was the worst piece of shit ever. KNow I loved movies like never back down and stuff like that, but this was garbage. So lastnight I was bored and said what the f**k death warrior couldnt be any worse than the first piece of shit. Well my friends I was absolutley wrong. This one sucked balls even worse. Dont get me wrong the only slight bit goodness of these movies is the titties and im not talking about schoonover. All in all grade A worthlessness.
This dumbass Hector should be burned at the stake if he ever decides to make another movie in his life. If you dont believe us go ahead and waste your money and I will be the first to say I told you so.
I will have to agree with the previous posters on this subject - DO NOT RENT these movies. It will only make you think less of your favorite fighters by exposing their lack of acting ability. These low budget, self-lovefests, have little or no redeeming quality. Even the topless chicks are just OK and obviously artificially endowed. Even the fight scenes are ridiculous to watch. Save yourself 90 minutes and organize your sock drawer instead.
