C'mon guys Toney doesn't mean any harm. He's a fighter and with MMA taking off he wants him a piece. He's just............a fighter. NO matter how old or past his prime he still wants to fight which is pretty cool if you ask me. He does respect MMA.

in his prime, james toney was one of the best boxers in the world. unfortunately for him, that was about 15-20 years ago. now he's just another washed up fighter who doesn't realize he's washed up. just the kinda guy it seems dana wants for the ufc these days. maybe he can fight phil baroni.

I am 100% sure he has better hands than me... But I have been wrestling since '92 and working BJJ since '01. I would love to spar against a guy like that! Sure there is a chance I would go to sleep, I mean he can throw one hell of a punch, but if I get him in a clinch, or get a single or a double, it would be game over for him...

I would be willing to risk it! I am nowhere near dumb enough to say I am going to stand and bang with a guy like this, getting punched HURTS, and this guy will put the hurt on! But I think it would be fun to tool a former heavywieght champ on the ground!

I do, however, realize that there would be no money in the fight for him, so it would never happen, but boy would it be fun!

Problem for you ground fighters is the fight starts up on your feet, and to anyone who isnt a boxer you will just be a HUGE target. Theres little you can do against a boxer standing up, well besides leg kicks. On the ground though I agree, a boxer is gonna get crushed.

I'd wager his TDD isn't Iceman-like.... Sure on his feet he may be good against other 'boxers' but a Muay Thai fighter would chop him down or clinch him easily. Anyone with decent takedowns can get him down easily and the fight is over.

He wouldn't beat hardly anyone in the UFC, if anyone at all.
