Your impression of UFC Countdown.
Once again the UFC hype train has arrived and I'm definitely on board. I knew UFC 107 was a stacked card with good fights but that countdown really got me excited. Before the countdown, I was skeptical about a diego/penn fight because I didn't think Diego was better than BJ in anything (maybe cardio). Although my opinion of this hasn't changed, the hype up of diego, (and his "different" personality) really hyped up this fight for me.
And every time I hear Mir do his pre fight speel it makes me excited that he might get his face bashed in just like UFC 100.
So my question is, what impressions do you get after watching these UFC countdowns? Does it make you more excited for the fights? Has a countdown changed your perception of who would win? Have you liked or disliked a person more after watching countdown?

I really enjoyed the countdown. The Penn vs Diego parts were fantastic. It was refreshing to see two guys not spew insults at each other and I actually started liking Diego more having watched it. Although my opinion on the fight won't ever change, even if he wins I'll live in denial like a biast little ass munch
I enjoyed Kongo calling Mir a kid, and not rising to Mirs infuriating ego of twatitude. And hope, hope so so so much Kongo puts him to sleep. Unfortunatly Mirs probably right when he says 'one take down and it's over'
I'm very very pumped for this card, 107 should be very exciting and fingers crossed no contreversy will appear for once.

iam so excited for Mir and Kongo, now i can see why Brock was so pissed and unable to keep his anger inside. Mir really says stupid things that dont need to be said. Kongo calling him Kid made me and my dad LOL. I really hope Kongo beats him.

The bit on Kongo's terrible English was a riot.
If they really wanted to up the schtick factor, they at some point have got to mention Cheick's patented testicle strikes of doom.

I've never really liked Sanchez before, I usually get so embarrassed for him that he's uncomfortable to watch. But he's growing on me. He really is so weird that he's funny, and I don't think he's a bad kid even though he has a mental condition.
Listening to Mir makes me feel better about Brock pounding his head through the floor in his last fight. What was up with him criticizing Kongo's English skills? Is Mir really so much better at French, and does it even matter in a fight? The strange thing about him is that he seems like a fairly smart guy, but he just doesn't seem to understand how he comes off when he's talking like that. He's just a total asshole.
Seems I'm going to be rooting for the underdogs this time.

Nah.
I take everything said/showed in the countdowns with a grain of salt. But it does hype me up for the fights.
Tonight's show was pretty good.

There's two things I love. The Countdown and the UFC Musings after the fights.
Shit pumps me up like crazy. For some reason there was like two minutes on Mir and Kongo or was that just the preview.

I enjoyed it. I'm still cheering for Diego, but I thought BJ Penn came out of the show looking alot better than he usually does after these things. I still think he's abit of a douche down to the way he dealt with the last GSP fight, but I gained alot of respect for him after this countdown show, and have actually started to like him alot more.
The Yes! Cartwheel is one of the greatest things ever seen on TV as well. Diego's hilarious; just not intentionally.

I agree, i liked how bj handled himself. He didn't call him out like he did with gsp.
The Yes cartwheel was too funny. Only Diego could come up with that.

I really enjoyed watching the show! The UFC is definatly improving there Countdown show's. Something makes me wonder about BJ.. he never was so calm before a fight. He does zero trash talking! I really like this side of him, i hope he keeps it. Great to see one of the best MMA fighters finally act like one
