Why si that the mentality of a lot of people on this board. I don't like Matt Hughes, but there's a whole ****load of haters on here as soon as he lost. When GSP loses, will he suck? What about Chuck Lidell? I don't get it...

I dont this board has always been pretty anti-Hughes even before he lost to GSP. Im not but I'd say the majority of this board is. I just think most of us knew what was gonna happen at UFC 65 we all know whats gonna happen if he and GSP fight again. I will give Hughes the repect that hes an all-time great, but the days of him being champion are over.

I was a fan of Hughes until I realized how arrogant he was. He was a complete asshole during the TUF4 airing.
I still like him as a fighter, but it was disappointing watching him act like that.
P.S. I know he said he was just teasing St. Pierre or whatever, but it was still disrespectful IMO.

Agreed with that, but not just Hughes,. what about Ortiz? Just because people don't like him they say he's got no skill whatsoever and he totally sucks (referring to him vs Lidell thread). The dude jacked up Ken Shamrock the first time and everyone was on his nuts about it, he got spanked by Randy and f***ed up by Lidell, now everyone's saying he totally sucks? Dude has a s***load of title defenses, he didn't get wherehe is for nothing!

Yea, that whole "Hughes sucks, he got beat, so that means he isn't one of the greatest" thing was annoying. Still is actually. It's a shame that fighters can't get looked at for their past accomplishments. It's always the now, and if you lose, then you'll be called a "Can" by some dumbass know it all, who jerks off to Kid Yamamoto fights(I'm not meaning anyone here).
I remember when Miller lost to Trigg. Other boards were on Miller's nuts so hard, that you had to get the jaws of life to pull them off. Now that Miller has lost, it's "Miller sucks. He was never an elite fighter. He's an overrated can...blah blah blah". What the hell, people?

The whole Militech camp are a bunch of dic*s. Remember at Pulver's fight when they were joking and laughing around before he fought Lauzon thinking the kid was a chump. Then the kid knocked his a$$ out. And then there is Sylvia walking around everywhere he goes with his belt and why is he always sucking Matt Hughes's di*k like there lovers. I don't even have to say anything about Hughes, we know what a wonderful person he is  |

I agree with this thread though. It always happens. I feel this way about Arlovski. The guy is top 5 HW in the world and people are always saying he's done, he's washed up. He broke his leg and finished the fight and then got fined by the Las Vegas Athletic Commission for not telling anyone he was hurt.

this isnt really true all the time Tim sylia he wins and everyone hates him. Randy lost twice but we still like him. Rich Franklin lost and he still has alot of fans.
