Yeah I had the 107 countdown recording playing, turned that off and low and behold the Machida-Shogun fight. Haven't had a chance to rewatch yet so gonna record it for later. Missed the first couple minutes of the first round. Kind of noticed the supposed Rogan Shogun-bias when Machida lands a rather hard punch to Shogun's face and Mike is like "Wow!" and Joe goes "Yeah that was a nice kick by Shogun..." Still gonna rewatch the full fight before I make any decisions. Gave the fight to Shogun after my first viewing.

Yeah, I gave it to Shogun the first time. Then, after re-watching, I said Machida. And after, a third time, I gave it back to Shogun. Now, I ain't sure anymore--actually I don't care anymore. We need a rematch to solve the questions.

IMO it's nowhere near as close as people make it out to be. Machida inflicted minimal damage, Shogun landed nearly two times the strikes (fightmetric confirmed), and he controlled the octagon.

I would have to agree from what I've seen but I still haven't had a chance to rewatch the fight in high quality so I'll reserve judgement for now. Lol god I hope this doesn't bring the Machida or Shogun debate back up

I have to agree. The first time through it looks like machida is landing all these counters, which he doesn't. I remember arguing that shogun did more damage, had octagon control and the aggression was split, but machida made it up by the sheer number of strikes he landed and his successful counters. But after rewatching, machida's counter strikes were minimal and not very successful as they were almost entirely blocked, dodged or just plain missed and shogun out struck him 2 to 1.

Yeah, exactly
the only people that think Machida won that fight, are the people that thought Machida couldn't be beaten ever, In their minds he had already beaten the entire division. So they tried to save face by clinging to a shonky decision. One of the worst decisions in MMA ever. It left a hangover in its wake, I think we are still seeing some of that in lackluster PPV numbers.
