Just read the results. Seems like nobody is going to be beating the The Prodigy anytime soon. I figured that Sanchez would have put up a better fight than the one I read in the play by play. I guess I thought wrong. Arguably the greatest LW of all time, really. Nuff said.

I honestly feel bad for BJ. People always wondered why he compete outside of his weight class and we're seeing why now. Even I will admit it's not just arrogance, it's the desire for better competition.
Unfortunately for BJ he's already given the WW division a shot, and won the title, but as long as GSP is alive he's not reliving that glory again.

Gray Maynard,
Frankie Edgar,
Florian and Sherk rematches... and he'll probably get the itch to move up again, or even retire.

... for the record, Stevenson would just get owned again. That rematch should never happen, IMO.

I think if Diego couldn't even touch him that there's absolutely no way any other LW is gonna be able to legitimately beat BJ barring a flash fluke KO.

Maynard would not stand a chance, sorry. Maynard is looking good but his style feeds right into BJ's style. BJ will outstrike him, and even if he does get taken down, Maynard is not ready to avoid BJ's submissions. Nate Diaz submitted him, though it was 6 fights ago, it could still happen. Not to mention BJ probably knows a lot about Gray considering he was the first guy to really train him.

As for Edgar I think he has a better chance but I think in this case he's just not gonna be big or strong enough to utilize his strengths against BJ. It would be a killer stand-up battle, but Edgar isn't *quite* on BJ's boxing level nor does he possess the power BJ does. BJ looks to be diversifying his striking game a bit lately. If I remember right, he didn't even attempt a head kick until the one he landed that caused that vaginal opening. Unless he got lucky, his kicks look pretty damaging, efficient, and effective.

If Nate beats Gray I wouldn't mind watching a Nate/BJ fight but I don't think Nate stands a chance until he is closer to his prime age, he's still too young yet. He would get killed on his feet and he doesn't have the TD ability to get it to the ground. But the ground battle would be beautiful if it happened, just for a little while until Nate gets pounded or choked into submission.

Actually tell a lie - I think Andre Winner has a good chance against BJ Penn. Winner is young, explosive and has some sick Muay Thai skills. I would say that in a couple of years he'll be talked about the way Anderson Silva is talked about today. He could give BJ problems. on the feet. Though his BJJ is only good compared to BJ's masterful ground game.

Wow BJ you are the greatest ever
What a legend already! Diego was so outclassed in this fight, he looked like an amateur. After the first round Diego must have been thought, omg what should i do against this guy?

The only fight i wanna see BJ in again is against GSP

There is no body on earth in any org at penn's weight that can match bj penn...doesnt matter if your names Shinya aioki, gomi or anyone else...simply put he is the greatest ever. Just induct him into the hall of fame and be done with it!

I honestly didnt think Diego was not ready to step to BJ just yet. They should have gave him Maynard or Escudero. I honestly thought the Maynard/Huerta fight was a waste of time and Diego should have got that one. Diego just went in thinking he could ambush BJ like he did Joe Riggs.....but BJ's speed and power were far too much
too much honesty is bad for your health
