I'm pretty sure Diego wasn't 100% going into this fight
Any official word on this?
I'm not making excuses for his performance against BJ or anything, I'll admit, BJ put on an awesome picture perfect fight, but let's be realistic, if your fighting injured, it's not a fair fight. I know Diego was getting over a staph infection a while back, could be complications from that, or something else, which I highly suspect because the Diego last night was not the same intense furious fighter we have all know him as..
Really bummed out because I was hoping for the Best BJ and the Best Diego to go toe to toe, that would have been an epic fight worthy of remembrance for the ages..

What? Are you just stabbing in the dark with this?
Sanchez was 100% healthy and was totally confident he could beat BJ. Then he realized his average standup, average take downs, and cardio that seemed worse than BJ's, wasn't going to cut it.

That's the best Diego, about 20 notches below BJ. Bj is untouchable at 155.

Sanchez was 100%, until he got rocked by Penn in the 1st, then it was all downhill from there.

unfortunately for Sanchez fans I think he was perfectly healthy and confident coming into this fight. He was just outclassed

Egsmactly what Khokho baby said. I think Diego understood that his running to his opponent and throwing a bunch of wild shots wasn't going to work with BJ when he got hit with that nasty left shot early in the fight. Diego seemed 100% healthy (physically....) and I'm sure it would have mentioned by now if there were any physical problems that would affect Diego.
Also, let's say Diego DID have something wrong with him, at 100% he would still be outclassed everywhere by BJ so it wouldn't make much of a difference.

Diego was confident, he was looking at BJ like he wanted to kill him, and screamd "YES!". The fact is, when you get rocked multiple times in the first round and have absolutely no success whatsoever, your confidence starts to drop quite a bit.

Listen I am a big time Diego fan, but his loss has nothing to do with injury, BJ is just that good. Seriously I thought Sanchez had a good chance of upsetting BJ, boy was I wrong. I don't think anyone will touch BJ for a long time.

Diego was so 100% of his potential he has awesome Stamina to take as much as he did and still continue as he did he just did not possess enough strength when it came to getting BJ on the ground nor to contend in the stand up contest that BJ held him to. Diego was just out matched all the way around and considering where the blood was coming from ( His bottom Lip) it didn't help that he was bleedin all over BJ's Shorts in the Privates region. Notice after the first round BJ was beating Diego to the center of the ring.

______ just makes it SEEM like an opponent isn't fighting 100%. That's what a top ranked p4p fighter does.
Fill in the blank with BJ Penn, GSP or Anderson.
I wasn't a huge Diego fan going into this match, but WOW he can take a punch. He's gained my respect.
