I really didn't think the fight between Pierce and Fitch was all that bad. I know people are bothered that Fitch wasn't able to finish a relative unknown, but both fighters were constantly striking, and constantly attempting to take position. I just don't see that as boring. It is sometimes nice to see a true-blue chess match between two tough competitors. They can't, nor do they all need to be flash KOs.

I don't think he should be cut, just permenantly on the under cards so we dont have to EVER see him again haha
It is unfair tho to judge fighters by how exciting they fight, but I wont argue id rather watch paint dry then see him fight.

Fitch isn't exciting but there is no need to cut him. I would put money on it that he finishes his next fight. He has been taking a lot of criticism lately on this subject and even talked about it himself in the post fight interviews. This is like Tyson Griffin, he always puts on good fights but he couldn't finish people, he has been training hard to improve that and recently KO Hermes France, a guy who most thought he wouldn't be able to because of such Hermes's chin. It happens with a lot of wrestlers, it takes time for them to start finishing fights.

You mean imply not apply.
That said - just because he goes to decisions does not mean he is not exciting to watch. While I didn't much like his last fight usually I find his fights to be 15 minutes of enjoyment.

This. Fitch has been TRYING to finish fights, but the last two dudes he's fought have some great defense. Paulo is a BJJ Black Belt and a pretty high level one from what we've heard and seen of his defense. He tried to finish Pierce too, but the dude just wouldn't give up his chin. I honestly don't find him boring because he's extremely technical with his control, and I'm no wrestler, I just enjoy MMA. He's got a different fighting style than most fighters. People said the same thing about Machida when he first hit the scene. "Oh that dude just runs!" And now that he's champ everyone is on his nuts unless they're on Shogun's. Fitch usually wins in pretty dominating fashion. Maybe not the quick KO or sub type of domination, but he doesn't let other fighters really do anything at all. I think that's pretty damn entertaining for someone at that high of a level to be able to do.
Also, let's not forget he finished 4 out of his first 6 in the UFC. 3 by subbing Roan (Black belt/Pan-Am champion), Fiorivanti and Burkman. Another by TKOing Alves. So it's not that he CAN'T finish guys, it's that he hasn't been lately. He's actually finished 1/3 of his fights in the UFC, which isn't a bad record IMO.

I like Fitch, but he really needs to change something up or the UFC is going to relegate him to the undercards.
I didn't find the last fight particularly boring, but I'm sure a lot of people did.

Yes Griffin puts on great entertaining fights even though he did not get the finish a few times but who were his opponents? Yeah they were a lot better than Fitch's opponents and Fitch's fights are not entertaining lately and I don't care what anyone says.

I actually thought the Fitch-Pierce fight was alright to watch, certainly seen worse fights this year. I like Jon Fitch, and any talks of the UFC cutting him are hilariously ridiculous. The guy's won 19 of his last 20 fights with his only loss coming to one of the best fighters in the world in Georges St-Pierre. He's trying to finish fights, he's working hard at his game and he's constantly trying to improve. Give the guy a break.
