Chuck vs. Tito Was Fixed

i know chuck is a counter puncher. But it looked like he could've finished the fight at any time. I think he was told to drag it out.

Fixed is a very strong word to throw around an hour after a fight.

I agree. Many times Chuck could have pounced and landed some good shots, but he just stepped back. It was nice to see him give Tito all the opportunity he could. I thought it was a good fight, but in now way was it fixed. If it was fixed, Tito would have never landed a punch, or kick. He prob would have tried to shoot endlessly until Chuck connected.

Yah....well I wouldn't use the word "fixed", maybe Dana "encouraged" Chuck to try and drag the fight a little longer so it would be more exciting. Deep down I think Dana knows Tito should have had to fought at least one more quality fighter to show he was ready for chuck...forrest griffin and 2 shamrocks doesn't seem to cut it (for me at least). Anyways my buddies and I noticed the same thing he seemed to just be very relaxed and patient, and could have ended whenever he wanted.
What else can you say, well I wouldn't say fixed, let's just say I'm looking forward to Rampage/Chuck 2

That wasn't the first time Chuck gave his opponents another opporunity to fight. As you know, Chuck likes to slug it out, and that is exactly what he wanted to do with Tito.

Well I have always thought that sometimes fighters agree to drag it out a few rounds before they actually turn up the heat. This looked to be the case in this fight. I remember I kept shouting at the screen cuz Tito dropped his hands on numerous occassions and Chuck kinda wound up for a punch but hesitated and decided not to. I wouldn't say this is fixed in the way that Tito purposely lost the fight but I do think that UFC makes arrangements for main events to make it more entertaining. Like the second Hughes/GSP fight Hughes might have agreed to keep it standing for x amount of rounds for x amount of money. Or the second Babalu/Liddell fight maybe Babalu agreed to keep it standing for a little while too for a fatter paycheck. Who knows maybe they just have horrible game plans sometimes.

Either that...or his "game plan" went out the window when he stepped in there, and felt the power when he got punched in the face.
